Licorice, what more could you ask for?
Today, after Dark Pleasure, I dare to try the next fragrance from my Alexandria package. I got these from an acquaintance and wanted to immerse myself a little more in the world of niche fragrances, after having worked with the usual designers last year.

I am pleased that I am the first to write a comment on this fragrance. Also a premiere for me!

So now to the scent: With the first splash on the arm I take an unpleasant alcohol note, which disappears in seconds. Maybe it is because I spray too slowly - or because I am too curious about the fragrance. These Alexandria sprayers squeeze relatively hard and then immediately release a good shot of perfume.

At the beginning it becomes briefly fruity fresh and then also a little sweet, whereby I do not recognize any note directly. Soon after, Rose appears, and I am afraid that I have already applied another fragrance for women. Fortunately (for me) green and woody notes then join in. Sandalwood and musk, which will later dominate the fragrance composition, let the rose discreetly recede into the background. And that's a good thing, because I think that Rose often takes a very feminine direction and can be used oversized in unisex classified fragrances for men. In combination with the more woody notes, one is immersed over time in a sea of "liquorice". If one were to assign a fragrance to the term "liquorice grating" in the figurative sense, I would probably choose this one. I can't see the often dominant vanilla in this perfume, although in combination with others it could be the sweet component.

I love the way the scent changes over time. However, the fragrance certainly lives up to the name "Valley of the Kings". I have the impression that Alexandria has created or copied something great there. Since I don't know the "original" Richwood, I can't make a direct comparison. The scent is great and knows to inspire, but is certainly not for me in everyday life. The performance is decent, even (now), after seven hours, I can still perceive the scent clearly on the back of my hand. Although the perfume is labeled as masculine, I can imagine it on a woman because of the sweetness.

Rose, rose above all
I received a package of Alexandria fragrances from a colleague in Canada and Dark Pleasure was also there.

At first I found the first sprayer quite pleasant. With other creations from Alexandria, the opening has already made me a little tired. But here you can immediately dive into a sea of flowers. I feel as if I am in a flower garden in spring, with a rose dominating from the beginning. The fresh impression probably comes from the sandalwood, whereby the scent by no means comes woody around the corner.

For the next few hours some patchouli will come out and the roses will kill everything else. I can only guess at the spicy notes like pepper or incense. The fragrance starts and remains flowery squeaky-sweet. I was also surprised that Dark Pleasure is actually a clone of Tom Ford's Cafe Rose. But I can't smell coffee at all, but it's not listed in the fragrances of Dark Pleasure. I can't complain about sillage and durability. 4 sprayers were too much in the morning, and I was already asked about it at breakfast.

The overall fragrance is fresh, sweet and above all very floral. For me as a man, however, not really wearable as it is clearly too feminine. I wonder why it's classified as unisex. My girlfriend, on the other hand, thinks the fragrance is too "old-fashioned" and would not use it either

No Vanilli3?
Are you sure there's no vanilla? It can hardly be. Seems a little stupid to me. In any case, the fragrance lasts for many hours. Class Part.
Maybe my sense of smell is simply disturbed :)

Blind purchase of the year
First of all I would like to say that I am a perfume novice with less than six months of experience. For years I penetrated my olfactory organ with the same boring scents, it's different since Parfumo and I always dare new experiments.
In the price range, in which the discussed fragrance is, I like to buy blind. So far I have rarely been disappointed by these. But now I've hit the jackpot with Shaghaf Oud Abyad.
I only own about 60 fragrances and have only twice as much experience with them. But this one is the absolute hammer.
A mixture of smoky leather combined with herbaceous, fresh oriental spices is like a bomb right from the start. Every now and then citric and fresh notes swap and disappear again.
The fact that the fragrance has an almost 9 rating here does not surprise me at all after the test. He's just awesome. You probably know it when you have a new bottle and after spraying it on you have to smell it over and over again on your wrist or under your t-shirt because the scent is just so horny - I had just such an experience with Oud Abjya.

Unfortunately the durability is not as described by others 12 but with me unfortunately only 6 hours. I can't get enough of this stuff. And now I spray myself with the price simply again a few splashes on it.

I'm glad I ordered two vials. For the money to simply enjoy such a crazy olfactory experience makes me simply happy.

An interesting scent experiment
Well, a mixture of GIT and Aventus. That sounds promising at times. So Tres Nuit combined with Club de Nuit Intense Man in Armaf language. Mind you, I know both fragrances.
I had hoped for a lot because I was very happy with Club de Nuit and Tres Nuit.
The beginning is better than CdN, you can immediately perceive lemon and the desired freshness in combination with very strong pineapple. The metallic odour occurring with CdN is totally masked. This is the greatest advantage of this fragrance.
Already after a few minutes the green and herbaceous fragrance predominates which then continues. All the elements of Tres Nuit come to bear in the further course.

I'd say it's 90% Tres Nuit with a maximum of 10% Club de Nuit Intense Man. While I'm an absolute fan of the opening (that's the highlight) I couldn't really get excited about the fragrance any more over time. This is probably because I personally would prefer CdN to TN in any case.

After 5 hours this was no longer noticeable on the skin, similarly short Longevity as TN with me.

Conclusion: An interesting experiment with a brilliant opening. For the called price of ~20 Euro you can definitely "smell in".
