Confusing name
At least because no tobacco is listed in the fragrance pyramid.
Nevertheless Rasasi knows to produce a smell with Tobacco Blaze which comes across relatively dark and dry and reminds a little bit of tobacco.
The fragrance opens with a very citrusy and fresh neroli, and is also accompanied by another fruity note, probably apricot.
The magic of the top note doesn't last too long and other notes are quickly added, which take out the freshness more and more, so that the impression of the fragrance changes and one can already perceive clearly earthy patchouli, as well as sparingly used leather and of course oud in the foreground. At times it reminds me of the Ambergris Showers, but this one is the how shall I say? "derbste" of the series.
Where La Yuqawam is most accessible due to its reputation with other fragrances of this genre, the nose is already more demanding in Tobacco Blaze. Here above all earthy patchouli, woody amber and the oud play the leading role, here one can speak at best of attenuations of coumarin and apricot, which still bring in a light sweetness. The opening of the fragrance is of course the bang, and thus TB moves directly to place 2 of the La Yuqawam series, Ambergris Showers is the last one. Unfortunately both of them don't quite come close to the original
All three scents have a very good radiation, but I have the feeling that Tobacco Blaze, as well as Ambergris Showers lose their sillage after a short time and change to a relatively strong skin scent, unlike the original LY, which you can still clearly perceive after hours, although there are rumours of reformulations :-(.
Conclusion:
A well made Oriental that offers niche quality at a lower price and has also been made accessible to Westerners. In a blind test you would probably think of Tom Ford and co.
The light note of apricot runs through the entire fragrance and gives it a slightly sweet note. I probably wouldn't buy it, but I'm quite happy to have received a surprisingly wise bottling. My special thanks for this to SchnüFFleRR!
