A Hundred Years of SWEETNESS...
This perfume is divine. I didn't want to like it since it's so expensive but I tried a sample and it was love at first sniff. I was worried it would be too sweet and I don't usually love gourmand scents, but this Fragrance has the right balance and is not cloying at all. I smell a burnt sugar (or should I say very deep caramelized sugar) with jasmine and cedarwood. It's beautiful.

I must add a warning and advise you to buy your perfume from a reputable seller, MFK website, or Department store. I purchased three 5 ml samples online and only one was genuine. The two I purchased from eBay were fakes, but being sold as 100% genuine products. They each had a medicinal or very strong alcoholic smell like I was at a hospital or dentist and the genuine Baccarat Rouge 540 does not have that medicinal/alcoholic smell at all.

I suspect some sellers are mixing the genuine Baccarat Rouge with an alcohol base to stretch and sell more products. When I smell all three samples, I'm astounded at the difference between the two of them. The other difference is longevity.

The genuine EDP lasts on me for sometimes 2 days and on my clothes, even longer. The fake samples I received only lasted a couple of hours.

Too Good to be BAD!
Starts super fresh just a blast of citrus and Acqua has that typical Acqua Di Gio vibe going on with and it's so super-rich blended. Alberto Morillas is a master at producing these fragrances and this is no exception. The middle notes make it a nice spicy aromatic touch. The incense and patchouli at the base give it such a nice vibe to the fragrance. It can be worn all around the year it's such versatile.

This one dark, masculine, and just screams freshness, it's not at all super powering, would recommend anyone who is 21 plus to wear this. This is just a gorgeous juice in a bottle, smells so niche quality. This one is a must-buy for those who love those marine aquatic citrus fragrances and not those generic blue ones.

Those who are saying about the reformulation I don't think so there has been any kind of reformulation at all I have a February 2020 batch and its a beast, in Indian conditions where it gets super hot and humid I easily get around 8-10 hours on the skin on clothes 20 plus hours, so reformulation talks I don't think so are true. Projects too super good for the first 3-4 hours. It's such a compliment getter the ladies love it like literally love it. All those not buying due to the reformulation talks don't hesitate to buy go for it just make sure you buy from an authorized seller.

Essenza for me tops the Acqua Di Gio line, super lucky to have 3 backup bottles of it, although Profumo too is a great alternative to it.

The Beauty of 1996!
It is a legendary fragrance. Simple to wear yet surprisingly sophisticated. Everyone was using it about 20 years ago. Many people still do and this is a fragrance that simply withstood the test of time.

The reasons for that are many, as it represents all that the Mediterranean is. Citruses, light flowers, ocean breeze, a few dry trees, and a bit of aldehyde and salt. Refreshing, uplifting, and easily recognizable.

There are a few reasons to hate or be skeptical about it. And as stupid as it sounds its popularity made it less of a signature scent than it was. An army of clone perfumes was made, some better some worse - all to push this fragrance DNA to the masses.

As someone who had the chance to wear it on a few occasions, I must say that I would not buy it for myself, but would be happy to receive it as a gift.

Surprisingly, the reason for that is that Lidl (supermarket in Europe) released an analog of ADG while removing a few notes. Not as sophisticated as the original, nor as expensive it gets the job done. Essence Acqua Fresh by Lidl can be used as a cheaper alternative to this legendary fragrance.

I know that someone might hate this comment, however, I must say that the recent reformulations made ADG weaker, thus bringing it closer to some of its homages.

A Bit Fun, A Bit Dated!
Fantastic!
Let's face it, it smells good. The picky wife LOVES it, the eccentric husband loves it.

Yes, it's popular, yes, a lot of people wear it, yes, it's "designer" and not "niche", and yes, it's GREAT!!
Thankfully, there's barely any grapefruit to ruin the opening. It is exactly as described: warm spicy tobacco.

While the tobacco note is definitely there, I would prefer it to be even stronger with a little less amber. I have to find a bottle of pure tobacco essential oil and add it to this (hmmm).

People write about sillage and projection issues. Do you wear a fragrance for YOU or for others? If for others, then your opinion of the scent is less than worthless. Pour a bottle of CK One on your head.

If for YOU, then enjoy smelling the scent like I do.

But for the sake of adding some info to the review, a woman hugged me and said "wow! You smell...manly". I said "thanks, I know"

Beach Hunts Man
Another gem of ascent from the MFK house. This is one of those scents which reminds me why I fell in love with fragrances. The composition is masterfully blended and right from the start this was instant love.

I get a wonderful warming creaminess from woody citrus notes combined with Tonka, iris, and vanilla. I could wear this all year round as there is a tropical Summer vibe there but also a warming Tonka woody Winter vibe too.

8 hours longevity from 4 sprays and subtle reminders is still going strong right the way through. A safe but beautiful scent that is extremely versatile and one I keep getting drawn to time and time again.

A top-quality people pleaser well-played MFK yet again!
