Classic Baby Powder
Sweet Honesty is the Avon version of Love’s Baby Soft and actually predates Baby Soft by a year. my bottle of Sweet Honesty is very old and there is a little mouse holding a fountain pen on top of it. The screw top caps on these have a very good seal and the juice was well protected. I think Sweet Honesty is much better then Love’s and I’m surprised because I love the lavender in Baby Soft so much.
Perhaps I’d feel different about the modern version, but the vintage is the cat’s pajamas! I am a huge fan of powdery scents they are so zen and soothing for me. Sweet Honesty is a delicate clean baby powder fresh with a touch of sweetness and an abundance of underlying musk and MOSS. The moss is not listed in the notes but the musky/mossy base of this is stunning. It’s not very powerful silage-wise and I’m not sure how long it’s going to last on my skin but I know regardless, I’m going to be reaching for it alot as a comfort grab.

Lipstick, Perfect !
Bruise Violet is the quintessential lipstick scent. There is none better. I currently have the large EDP but I’ve owned so many bottles of the oil version over the years and the oil is my favorite. I love the Sixteen92 lipstick accord which is incorporated into a few of their other scents: if you can ever get ahold of Mein Herr Marquis it is the sweeter, fluffier/girlier version of Bruise Violet. For a warm/spicy Bruise Violet with a big dose of Grandad’s cologne check out The Weird Sisters.

Pearl Jam
Grungy! I have the EDP though I far and away prefer the oil versions of Sixteen92 scents. I really wish I had a sample of the oil to compare. The opening is rough for me. immediately after spraying it smells like… peanut butter. Very weird. It’s only after about an hour when it’s settled close to my skin that it becomes the woodsy and motor oil infused delight I imagined. Not too much obvious cannabis for me, not skunky at all. Closer silage but long lasting. I really love the concept of scents inspired by 90s grunge more then the reality, and it’s not my favorite of the collection but I think those who have been looking for a more unique masculine/woodsy scent should check it out.

Spring Stinker
I like or love the vast majority of Alkemia’s scent catalog but I have noticed that all the scents of theirs that I dislike have the same common element: this underlying stinky nose hair scorching laundry detergent musk. It is very sharp and unpleasant and for me least it’s completely takes over the blend. Combine it with aldehydes and ZOOWEE MAMA!! There are some floral notes struggling to come through but they are lost in the sharp sour sludge. Unfortunately ( at least in this case)Spring Revel has amazing throw and longevity

Dirty Poison
Le Lethe is a very dark resinous blend with underlying sweaty/dirty musk it does smell very licentious. Underlying it all is something poisonous and bitter smelling. It smells like desperation and sex. It smells like an evil potion that provokes shameful lust.
I absolutely love BPAL, you definitely don’t come across scents like this in the mainstream offerings!
