This fragrance - in theory - should be everything that everyone raves about on social media, in my circle of friends, etc.: Fresh woody, a light sweetness, your skin but better, and so on and so forth. I tested it a few months ago, and even then it was very subtle. I was warned about this, which somehow adds to its charm, and I convinced myself that "maybe I’ve become nose-blind, but my surroundings can still smell me?"

So I tried Another 13 again yesterday. On my friend, the scent smelled exactly how I wished it would smell on me. But even the consultation at Le Labo agreed with me: Aside from Iso E Super, not much happens on my skin. And this concession came even though just minutes before, the fragrance was passionately defended.
I love Iso E Super, but there are certainly cheaper alternatives.

Conclusion: Please really test it on your own skin. Many people cannot smell this fragrance on themselves at all, and there are many theories about why that is, but if you find yourself in a similar situation and all the notes around it don’t come to the fore, you can save your wallet with a clear conscience and invest in an Iso E Super alternative.

I will not officially rate the fragrance, as it is probably not meant for me and the judgment would not be fair. On my friend, I would rate it an 8.

I used to really like this fragrance, but unfortunately my sister, my mother, and I have grown tired of it. Once enjoyable to wear, it now feels scratchy - like cotton balls or a spoon in powdered sugar sounds. Still soft, but unpleasant like a beautiful wool sweater that itches.

If I had rated this fragrance a few years ago, the verdict would definitely have been better!!!

But please don’t let that discourage you! It’s popular for a reason!

Personally, I would only test it multiple times, especially if you have very vivid associations with scents.

My absolute everyday go-to scent, especially when I feel a bit homesick.

To me, it smells like my childhood, as my mom washed our clothes with way too much detergent, and that was one of the most common compliments from my childhood friends when they either hugged me or visited us at home. I almost had tears in my eyes because this association was so vivid in my mind that I had to call my mom right away to tell her about my new discovery.

While Warm Cotton [Reserve Blend] smelled too much like a cleaned bathroom for too long before it became a bit softer after a while, Lefko impressed me from the very first spray.

I even went to the Byredo store to compare it with "Blanche (Eau de Parfum) | Byredo," and it comes very close.

The price-performance ratio is definitely top-notch.

If the H/S were just a bit better, this would really be the perfect Clean Girl scent (for me). It lasts forever on clothing!
Personally, I prefer a variation that leans more towards laundry detergent over a Clean Girl scent that leans towards shampoo/shower gel (often with a fruity note like in Valaya Eau de Parfum), but that's a very subjective matter.

For the price, this is a scent I will always buy, and especially on days when I don't want to think about what to wear or need some comfort, it's a safe choice.
