Aquatic-woody, then. Well, the listing of fragrance notes does not scare. (Floral fruity brings me already rather sweating)
Short spray on test strip. Out of some reflex directly the nose to the sample.
Bright, clean not overly aquatic but also not directly repellent.
Oh then preferably directly to the skin as well.
On the tester a slight hint of citrus, the rose in the HIntergrund.
A little further away : something dark, let's wait and see.
Then sniffed on my arm.
BÄMM, yes wait a minute, where is the opening , where is the lemon , the rose ?
Here is the black star immediately exploded....imploded ?
Excessively patchouly , raven black , oudmässig , not earthy.
Wait, sniff again...it continues to be night, every now and then citrus or rose flashes out for a nanosecond, but the patchouly or whatever has really swallowed everything nearby like a black hole.
On the tester are still clearly gradations to sniff,
On the tester I continue to find him interesting.
On myself much too one-dimensional, it smells by no means artificial, but nothing for me.
Would like to know how others experience the fragrance.

So if that's yuzu, then there was some other ingredient in the sample bottlings before.
In a bottling of Acqua di Parma it had made me not grad mood.
But here it is clearly the increase of fresh. It is also the first fragrance in which I can actually understand the association to the fizzy. But that is meant here postively.
On a warm day like today comes there a neat freshness kick from the wrist angeweht.
All other citrus fragrances that I have, I see rather fruity, be it "Arancia di Sicilia | Perris Monte Carlo" or "Zagara | Santa Maria Novella" or "Mandarino di Amalfi (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford" .
In the color spectrum, these aforementioned fragrances are yellow to orange, but Still-Life is yellow, almost white.
Then comes some calm with the heart notes, light creaminess or a touch of spice, but the fragrance remains straightforward.
I would wear the scent on really really warm days, where a hint of that yuzu keeps popping into your nose with every step or body movement.
A real alcoholic rum base I have not directly warmer, of course, a slightly sweet base. The fragrance has crept out with me rather slowly.
But still with a touch of the "effervescent effect"
No green , no herbs.
So he has definitely still earned a place on my shelf.
He moves in any case on the watch list.

According to the manufacturer's site a tribute to the Renaissance tradition in Italy leather goods, such as belts or gloves, to scent with jasmine.
Immediately when spraying on all notes are there with me, the cedar wood smells very nice.
But jasmine and saffron take over very quickly.
I have to keep my nose away for a while.
It's a well made fragrance, but then something bothers me, probably the saffron accompanying the jasmine, so my guess.
He becomes more pleasing with time , and the base can also sometimes flash out.
The nose wanders more often to the wrist, that is yes always a good sign.
I would like to sniff it at others quite gladly, because it is with security a Wässerchen, which develops with everyone somewhat differently.

A fragrance sample it is definitely worth.

The order of Baume du Doge was also a sample of Bois d Ombrie with.
This morning directly times sprayed on. Woody spicy according to the description, why not even test.
A medium-strong spray on the wrist and whoops : it rose smoke !
And quite strong, but unlike other candidates I'm here not immediately landed in the cold ashtray or can even still "smell the ham aroma with", as it was paraphrased in another fragrance once so beautiful. :-)
The smoke settles a bit and it turns green. No incense, but patchouli I also do not make out as usual. Like many of my pre-reviewers I also see no scent progression.
Everything interwoven, everything holds the balance, nothing stands out unpleasantly. Carrot or cognac I do not make out.

Personally, I thought directly of a tale by Italo Calvino, hence the title :
The Baron in the Trees.
A wonderful story, as are all his tales.
The hero starts in the village of Ombrosa and he experiences his area as so densely forested that he can make his way to the coast and the sea without ever having to set foot on the ground.
The imagery of this truly daredevil tale makes me like the fragrance even more.
For sure, this fragrance is considered rather masculine.
But I have at no time the desire to wash down in and enjoy it today as a beautiful sillage.
Maybe not a going out fragrance but a niche for the time out at home.

Today my package arrived from Italy. And I float the whole day on my cinnamon cloud.
In the exuberance immediately sprayed several times.
Because the fragrance comes to a first very light and very subtle. I like just a sillage, which is not necessarily room-filling...
Shortly with the bike packages away and noticed that the fragrance envelops me wonderfully.
A warm summer fragrance , which does not crush you.
I notice no visible phases, rather a weakening.
Whenever I think I am now scent-blind, the fragrance winks at an arm movement under my nose.
None of the given notes is prominent with me, The ZImtorange remains in the incense,
Since there are such nice reviews already, I'll keep this short and hope the fragrance will be available for a longer time.

I wonder how it will react in colder weather.
