This fragrance has been on the market for a long time and according to the description, it has left and then returned.
I had heard about it many times. Summer fragrance, very fruity and with a hairspray note. And that has always kept me from testing it.
Hairspray? Who wants to smell like that?
Sure, I also like that "fresh from the hairdresser" feeling, but I can't stand hairspray.
There are hairsprays that really smell old and musty. With some, the scent even lingers in the hair, even though I prefer the freshly washed smell. Or there are those where you have to hold your breath, spray, and immediately leave the bathroom so you don't have to inhale the fumes that settle in your mouth, making you feel like you sprayed directly into it.
On top of that, there's the side effect that the hair gets sticky and you have to wash it again to get the stuff out, which then involves drying time and restyling. A vicious circle :D
All things I would rather avoid.

However, since I particularly struggled with the dark season this winter and longed for spring and summer more than ever, I wanted to look for a fragrance that embodies just that - warm weather, green trees, birds chirping, good mood, sitting outside, cold drinks, etc. - and voila, I ordered a decant of this fragrance.
As soon as it arrived, I sprayed it directly on my skin.
Hairspray? Yes, I notice that with the alcohol at first, but it doesn't settle on my tongue and doesn't stick my hair together :P besides, the impression quickly fades. Shortly after, a lot of fruits come at me. Like a fruit salad, but without banana, instead with a really juicy watermelon. The melon stays throughout until the end, while the other fruits from the bowl are gradually devoured.
The longevity is okay, not a fragrance that lasts 9 hours, but it doesn't have to. The sillage is also fine. It is, after all, a spritzing summer fragrance. At 30 degrees, I don't want to be overwhelmed by a heavy sillage, and anyway, you tend to want to jump in the shower more often during the day. After that, you can spray yourself again. It doesn't hurt too much, as you can get the 100ml quite cheaply, and for an evening at the beach bar, the longevity is sufficient :)

All in all, a super nice fruity fragrance that lifts my spirits and gives me the feeling I need on cold, wet, and dark days. I'm looking forward to wearing it extensively this year and I'm glad I tested it after all :)

For a long time, I have been planning to write a comment about this fragrance. But I never knew how to start. One wants to do justice to what it means to them (and to many others who have worn it early on and/or for many years). Even now, I don’t know, so I’ll start with the question marks in my head.

In the rounded bottle with the long golden neck is the almost clear juice. Many, many years ago, the same bottle stood in my mother's bathroom, and as a child, it was already a real eye-catcher. However, I could never remember the scent itself and how my mother smelled with it.
I also don’t remember exactly how it came to be that I eventually tested it. I believe it was during the phase when I wanted to sniff the old classics. Hardly any made it into my heart.
J'adore, however, hit me twice and three times as hard, so much so that it even became my signature scent.

Now, of course, to the scent itself:
The scent progression is really minimal.
It is floral and fresh from the very beginning. A delicate rose and the wonderful jasmine dominate. It may become a bit softer and deeper over time, but as I said, it doesn’t change much on my skin. But I find that, as you can probably guess, not at all bad.
This fresh floral quality, in my opinion, simply works all the time. 24/7/365
For every occasion, with every piece of clothing.

On me, it lasts all day, but it becomes more intimate as the day goes on.
The sillage is fine; some noses perceive it from a distance, while others need to come closer to clearly notice that someone is wearing a perfume. But even despite a mask, many can smell it well. Either way, as soon as it is noticed, it is a real compliment magnet. At least it is received very well on my skin and thus ranks among the top 3 fragrances with which I have received the most compliments. Mainly from the male gender.

It has now been in my collection for 2 years. By now, I have almost emptied 2 bottles, and a backup is already ready. One thing is for sure, I want to keep it forever. Because I often have the desire to wear it and smell it, which I rarely have with a fragrance.
I could rave about it forever.
But even now, I feel that my comment hasn’t done it justice.
I definitely want to never miss it again!! Thank you, Dior, for this beautiful fragrance. I will always honor it.

I can't quite remember when I first smelled the fragrance, possibly in 2014. I know it was a blind buy... once again influenced by YT, those old rascals. The bottle caught my eye immediately, and I had always felt drawn to orange blossoms... or at least at the time I bought it :D

The pyramid makes one think it’s a simple fragrance. A bit floral with some vanilla. But there is so much more to it. It is extraordinary, warm, soft, and comforting. It envelops you.
Since I was addicted to it during my summer vacation, I associate it with summer, luxurious sunscreen, long beaches, delicious cocktails, tanned skin, and everything else that comes with it.
But even in winter, it is a wonderful companion. A warm, cozy blanket that makes you feel good.
Its longevity and sillage are really great. Although the sillage doesn’t seem that strong to me, those around me definitely notice it.

It’s not for everyone, it has its edges and corners, but if it’s well received by the person next to you, it’s really strong and you can be sure they will comment on it! If someone doesn’t like it, all the better for me :-p

After a 30ml, a 75ml, and then another half 75ml bottle, I had gotten a bit tired of it. Now, 2-3 years later, I missed it incredibly. I really wanted to have that feeling I associate with it again. Since it’s very affordable, the big bottle moved in with me again, and what can I say?! I love it! Still the same brilliant, delicious scent.
The fact that I missed it shows me that it is definitely an all-time favorite. And as soon as I can, I will stock up on it!

For me, a successful blind buy, but it should perhaps be tested beforehand, as it doesn’t, in my opinion, fit into the mainstream.

Months ago, I received a sample of "this is her". Of course, I tested the fragrance because the notes actually appealed to me. Jasmine, vanilla, silk... sounds very promising.
However, when I wore it, I found it to be very disturbing. The smell of rubber spread in a very intrusive way.
I felt really nauseous from the scent, so I had to wash it off.

I didn't want to smell it anymore, and I didn't for a very long time. Until today... my colleague came to work after me. I could smell her from afar. The scent seemed very familiar, and I dreaded the worst.
I immediately asked her: "Oh God, what are you wearing?" And she proudly replied: "zadig & voltaire". But she mentioned a different fragrance from this brand. (She probably thought I would want to buy it for her. No way, she can keep that as a gift!!!)

What smelled like rubber to me was for her a mix of sweet rubber and plastic. Her so-called two sprays were overwhelming. I could hardly breathe. We kept a safe distance all day. Even when I went out for a break and came back, I could smell the fragrance before I reached the door. Like in the store that sells handmade cosmetics and bath bombs, a cloud of scent formed outside. I dreaded entering the store.

After my shift ended, I left work traumatized today.
It still lingers in my nose.
She promised me not to wear it anymore when we work together. At least something.

One has to give it credit. If we can trust her words (which I don't believe), it is a true sillage monster with mega longevity, even when applied sparingly.

Whether you like it is really a matter of taste. For my part, I can say, keep this devil's stuff away from me!

I never thought I would say this, as I believe everyone should wear what they like. No matter the place or time of day/year, but this has changed everything.
For all who like it: please spare your fellow humans! One spray is enough, and please not in enclosed spaces. With this fragrance, you can really cause significant damage ;)

Today at the red horse, there were discounts on La Rive fragrances again.
I already own a few from this brand and must say in general: I am thrilled!
Actually, I wanted to test Taste of Kiss and the turtle scent. But once again, I couldn't resist and took Cuté with me as well. After all, the original is my favorite, my signature, my dream scent that transports me to another world.

Now to this one:
Almost all LR fragrances have an extremely alcoholic start. Not a big deal, as it dissipates after a few seconds. If you can't stand it, just hold your breath for a moment ;)
Then my Chloé comes to the fore, or rather, the little sister. She is a bit lighter and softer, but very similar to the big one. Simply clean and rosy :)

I can't say anything about the longevity at the moment, but with my others, they unfortunately tend to fade quickly.
A little tip: I spray the fragrances on, let them dry, and then spray again on the same spots. By layering, they last a few hours longer :)

Cuté unfortunately doesn't take me to my dream world, but as a budget-friendly alternative, it's still recommended. If nothing special is happening or I want to smell Chloé to fall asleep, I will definitely reach for the dupe :)

So if you love super clean rose scents and want to save, you can't go wrong with this one :)
