Patchouli interpreted in a modern way would probably be the shortest and most accurate description I would assign to you.

Especially thanks to frankincense, immortelle. Rounded off by lavender which makes you appear softer. The lavender otherwise takes a very back seat in the scent progression. The licorice softens your sweetness.

Together with your brother "Impression Patchouli Heart No.2 | Ostens," I have embraced the LMR ingredients in my heart (patchouli heart) and added the bottles to my collection.

Patchouli like you've never smelled before is written on the small sample card, which has been lovingly designed like a book.

First a little introduction to the scent, then the fragrance itself, and at the end the fragrance notes.

That was my first encounter with you. Less than 2 hours later, I realized that I needed a bottle - more on that later.

What immediately caught my eye on the fragrance pyramid of the sample was the addition of LMR next to some ingredients.

I sprayed you on my skin for the first time, and all that overwhelmed me was a gentle rain of patchouli, but without being herbaceous. Very gentle. Modern and soft. Iris resin dances softly around the patchouli.
The typical iris note, the powdery sensation, gently settles on the skin and leaves a fine sillage,
which strengthens the heart of the patchouli.

Hints of violet support the fresh fragrance profile.
You are a hybrid for me. You play with the freshness and cleanliness of cashmere and violet, without being linear.
You combine comfort and excitement through your patchouli with the fine iris accord.
You feel cozy and soft in one moment, while you come across invigoratingly refreshing in the next.


So yes:
I have never smelled patchouli like this before. It is a softer, more modern version of patchouli and does not smell old-school.

At the same time, I tested "Impression Patchouli Heart No.1 | Ostens," which is also a modern interpretation of patchouli. Two different creations, both special. One (No. 2) goes to the heart, while the other arouses sensuality.

I prefer the heart, and I was hesitant to ask about the price, but I was pleasantly surprised.

XJ 1861 - Renaissance - everything about your name evokes the impression of a classic DNA. Yet I don’t perceive you as an “old” pro.
You exude eagerness and playfulness.

Your opening screams with full-bodied citrus fruits. Lemons, mandarins, bergamot. Everything about you is fun. You are sour, but not overly sweet. The muscles in your face tighten slightly, leaving a desire for more.

Musk and amber, in conjunction with gentle woods, carry you through time. Your development becomes slightly herbaceous and greener over time, but at no point do you lose your fresh feeling.
Your top note never completely disappears, yet you are not linear.

Just the thought of your beautiful top note gives me goosebumps. It is the fresh wind that sweeps over me; it is the bite of a sour fruit that gives me strength.

Your bottle is typically high-quality Xerjoff, and you hit my taste. The ornate back is a real eye-catcher.

The longevity of this fragrance also pleasantly surprised me. Although it is fresh and citrusy, it remains surprisingly present on the skin for a long time without losing intensity. You can apply it in the morning and enjoy the pleasant scent throughout the day.

The past months have been a challenge for all those who do not indulge in winter.
The temperatures have become milder, and the sun is gradually claiming more and more time in the daily routine. On a cold night, where temperatures regularly drop to freezing, gentle morning hours follow with softly muted light.

The rising temperatures envelop the meadow in front of your house in delicate mist.
Morning dew has collected on the blades of grass, and the lily of the valley blooms gently across the entire meadow. They defy the cool conditions of the night and carry their scent softly through the streets.

And here we arrive at the fragrance that has accompanied me through the last months and is now finally able to showcase its full potential. I love the fruity opening, the drydown that comes across soft and clean, and the lily of the valley that keeps making its presence known.

The longevity is very good for a fragrance in the fresh, fruity category on my skin. I perceive it for 8-9 hours. On clothing, it lasts noticeably longer.
The bottle is beautiful. At least it suits my taste. Black and gold, lovely embellishments on the cap and neck of the bottle. Everything feels very high-quality and elegant.

No obligations, no worries, no stress.
It has been a long time since you woke up without thoughts, free from worries, and only by the caress of the first rays of sunlight.

The bright, gentle light in the morning brings warmth after a clear but cool night. The temperatures hovered around freezing during the night, and the heat of the sun shrouds your surroundings in muted shades.

The longevity of the fragrance on my skin is satisfying and delights me for about 6 hours. The sillage is not ostentatious and loudly pronounced. It is noticeable but not intrusive.

The price in relation to the offered performance represents a clear top mark for me. I am in love, and Moustache has a permanent place in my room.
