Summer, Green, Powdery
Marc,
I have to say this. Great scent.
I was able to snag this fragrance here at a reasonable price through the souk.
As a blind buy......Thanks to Jona48. Yes, blind buy, because I had read in some reviews that it has slight notes from Gebauer's Flamingo Orange. And I have had that one for several months and find it incredibly wonderful. Not just me, but also those around me.
So, delivered yesterday, exciting, drumroll, and bang, the first spray on my hand blew me away with excitement.
Yes. It has slight Flamingo notes, which are very clear. But the first overall impression immediately reminded me of my youth fragrance (year of creation 74), the disco hit back then, Nikos Sculpture. Whoever had that alongside Issey Miyake was "in."
But after a while, it changes. Since I’m not really knowledgeable about the notes, I can only say that it somehow becomes very pleasantly powdery, still holding onto the Flamingo nuance, slightly sweet and fresh at the same time, an incredible summer scent that a woman could easily wear as well. In my opinion.
The bottle is in a typical forest green. Shape and appearance like the other Gebauer bottles. Nothing exciting, but the content is a long-lasting bomb. I can still smell it (at least on me) on my hand after 12 hours. Always somehow a baby powder nuance.
Great. Also, anyone who owns or knows Flamingo Orange can buy this one blind without hesitation. I find it more elegant, suitable for beautiful summer evenings, while Flamingo is more for daytime at the beach or everyday wear.
Marc has created a fragrance that I think is wonderful, which could easily be worn year-round and will appeal to both genders. Also with compliments.
And for me, a modern contemporary version of the original Sculpture.
Thank you, Marc, for the time travel and for another summer day filled with many memories of the past.

K by Dolce Gabbana old School?
Well, yesterday I smelled this eau de toilette for the first time at my buddy's place. He had told me days before,
"Hey, I bought a new perfume, the scent would be something for you."

Uhuhuh, I thought, well, I have to say he knows my entire collection and actually knows my fragrance preferences, which I, let's say, mostly favor.
My last acquisition was Dylan Blue by Versace, as I had also written to my friend almost simultaneously, "Here’s my new purchase, this one would be something for you."
Anyway, back to the Gabbana scent.
Yesterday, before we headed to the metro, I rang his doorbell, and as he opened it, he was already holding the bottle and showed me a sample of it, which I could keep.
I was really curious about what was coming my way. In the back of my mind was his earlier statement, "This one would be something for you."
So, I have gotten into the habit of always spraying a scent on my arm/sweater when I test it because I personally find that I can accurately test the development from the opening to the main line.
At first, I thought for the first minute, yeah, somehow fresh. A bit like shower gel.
But then, really right at the beginning, it suddenly shifted, and a spicy note came in that reminded me a bit of herbal soap with a fresh accent.
My friend asked, "And? Cool, right?"
"He said right away that the scent reminded him of an older fragrance, but he just couldn't put his finger on it."
I immediately said, "Yeah, it really has something extravagant, fresh-spicy, and I also had to admit that it reminded me of some fragrance from the past."
Now we headed to the metro, and the whole time I was aware of this spiciness on my left forearm. And you know how it is when you're thinking and thinking about where you know this scent from. And you just can't figure it out. A dreadful thing.
Well, I found and still find it super. It's certainly a matter of opinion; I find it different from other spicy scents, it stands out with a recognizability. And believe me, my arm long-sleeve shirt smelled of this fresh spiciness and herbs all night. Really great.
But I couldn't figure out which scents it reminded me of.

The only thing I immediately thought was that it somehow has an old-school vibe.
I would say it's wearable for a man from around 30 and up, somewhat sporty, casual, in a life stage.

And folks, you won't believe it, but this morning it actually came to me.
It is well known that scents from youth/childhood can be stored in the brain, especially if you had special experiences or simply spent your youth with them. This is scientifically proven.

And now I will tell you which two scents are in K by Dolce Gabbana:

Ettore Bugatti Homme eau de toilette and
Adidas Classic eau de toilette (with the blue cap and beige liquid)

Absolutely identical, I would say the spiciness is more from the Adidas, the freshness and very slight sweetness from Bugatti.

Unfortunately, both have been discontinued for a long time. I loved them back in the day.
But now you have some sort of indirect replacement, classy.
So, I could add my secret favorite to my collection.
And what I find nice is that you can wear the scent anytime, summer and winter.
For sports or going out to eat.

And I must say the longevity on clothing is easily 12 hours. And on skin, 8 hours. I find the longevity sufficient.

So, I have now written the second review and hope it’s okay for you. I just write what I think. There are certainly others here who can "compose" better.
Best wishes until soon. Stay healthy.

Sauvage Elixir best of Dior
To begin with: it is not cheap, but I got it for under 110 euros thanks to a 20% discount promotion, yes, you read that right, 109 euros!!!
Otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered it, because I must say, I recently received a sample of the fragrance and at first I thought, "uhuhuhi." Somehow an indefinable liquid, a blast of scent cloud.
Absolutely nothing like the regular Sauvage, nothing, but also nothing in common.
As the fragrance "flattened" after about 5 minutes, which is what you could call it, an extraordinarily interesting scent development unfolded, which I had smelled once before as a teenager.
I thought somehow it reminds you of a fragrance from the past.
Thinking, thinking.......mmujd it just came to me, that's why I'm writing this review right away. It has a damn resemblance to an old Davidoff fragrance that is no longer available. And that is Davidoff Classic.
Absolute similarity in scent character, freshness, light spice, licorice, herbaceous mossy.
Simply genius, masculine, not for the youth of today, rather for the man who knows where he stands in life.
It definitely stands out from most fragrances. It makes you dream. Somehow sinking into the soul, also to times of the past (I was born in '74???). Unique, but of course also the price.
But this luxury is something you have to treat yourself to. No question, the price is steep for 60ml, but one spray is enough and you still smell it the next day.
Certainly, there are other strong EAU de Parfums for men at that price, but this fragrance is for me a journey into the past with ambitions of today. Classy made. Valuable, attractive, and definitely interesting for women to smell on a man.
Oh, and some wrote comparisons with fragrance types from Mugler men's perfumes.
Indeed, it has something "crazy" like most from the house of Mugler, and I mean it has a slight resemblance to Alien Man by Mugler as well. But only in a small way did it remind me of that.
So, the world of men has received a new, unique, and as I find, crazy fragrance that is not cheap, but worthwhile for "certain" occasions, or to really stand out from the whole mainstream.
Dior, chapeau ????? I bow to you. Thanks for old memories with a new future partnership.
Oh yes, sorry, I am not an expert on reviews, I write what I think and feel. Hope you are not mad!;-)

Genius for Vanilla Lovers
Short review from my side:
I have had this fragrance for a while, it was a blind buy, and since I am a fan of vanilla scents, this fragrance completely blew me away with excitement.
You can really only say:
Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla, oh yes, and: vanilla.
And the longevity, at least for me, is unbelievably long. You can still smell it on your body the next day, and on your clothes days later.
I also have Yankee Candle Vanilla, and I am amazed at how similar it smells to MB Black.
For anyone who likes vanilla scents, this fragrance is a must-have.
I actually don't like the brand, but the fragrances are really well made.
Among others, MB Intense, absolutely a copy of Dior Fahrenheit, somehow even a tick better.
So I have 2 original packages of this one in the cellar, just in case it should ever be discontinued, which I hope it won't, I am luckily stocked up.
Well then.......to eternal times MB Black ???

Incredibly Unique
How should I start? I'm not very good at writing reviews, as I'm not an expert in the content (perfume).
So, d
I have now added the Dior Homme perfume to my collection; I must have over 80 perfumes at home by now. Everything from sweet to fresh, spicy, it’s all there.
I have had Dior Homme Intense for quite some time now. 2nd bottle, 150ml, and I thought I could order this perfume blindly based on the great reviews here.
100ml for 89 euros seemed cheap compared to other shops (prices).
I was excited and unwrapped it with high expectations; the packaging is elegant and simple, just like Dior.
And the first sprays:
"Wow. Speechless, unbelievable"
This is a scent that is truly amazing, sweet, slightly spicy, with a hint of DHI, but it somehow reminded me of a similar fragrance, namely Safari Women Eau de Parfum.
In some aspects, it smells very, very similar to Safari Women by Ralph Lauren.

But nonetheless, it is a very warm, cozy smelling fragrance, not overpowering, but well perceivable yet subtle. And long-lasting.
I could sniff it constantly; during the first test after unpacking, I sprayed a bit on my wrist and then went for a walk with my dog.
Honestly, I spent almost every 2 minutes at my wrist, always having to check where I was walking so I wouldn’t get distracted from the path ☺️☺️☺️
And even after 5 hours, I could still smell the incredibly pleasant sweetness on my wrist.
I am thrilled, and it was one of the best "blind purchases" I have made, and there have been quite a few, thanks to this community here.
So here’s to a lifelong friendship/love with you, Dior Homme perfume.
Let’s hope it stays loyal and doesn’t disappear from the scene someday. That separation would be unbearable.
In this sense. Until soon.
