I have had this in my collection for quite some time and never tried it. Luckily when I do it is simply amazing! Especially the beginning.
Mandarin orange and rosewood - bang! The rest of the notes does not make an impression and I sincerely disagree with the longevity rating. But the beginning- wauw!
My own bottle is unfortunately an item with a box but the top does not fit,,, I guess I was desperate…

At the age of 16 I was very interested in Salvador Dali’s art. I found it sophisticated and deep and spend quite an amount of money on art books and prints and went to exhibitions. Of course I had to own the first perfume, which is btw magical. For many years I told myself that Salvador Dali as a perfume brand was something extraordinary. Looking at it now I tend to feel differently. It is just a brand.
Dalistyle is an indifferent fragrance. The bottle, inspired by some of the paintings, is nice but the rest is just boring. Spraying this gives you a brief citric experience. Then nothing else happens. Or not much.
Buy it for the bottle.

Again, like so many times before it is the bottle that intrigued me. A kaleidoscopic experience because of the pattern - really great. Then the scent. A marvelous rose with a lot of citric companions and finally the musk and wood. Compared to the price this is awesome. An inexpensive fragrance sold by a company which has been in the game for some time. Like with many other firms S.T.DuPont started selling leather goods and then went on to selling perfume. They did will I think. One of my favourites is Intense Pour Femme, a gorgeous spicy / powdery / woody fragrance that is a true gem in my collection.
Rose is a wonderful fragrance- do try it!

This reminds me of Donna Karan Be Delicious. I am not a huge fan of the famous Apple, but that does not mean that it is a bad scent. Like with D&G Light Blue and Davidoff Cool Water I admit they are huge successes- just not my type of fragrance.
The longevity of this is good, compared to the notes, since this is what I would call a volatile scent - more than five hours. Sillage is ok - not stunning but reasonable.
All in all an ok scent but not one I would look for.

Colette - the charming and beautiful French writer, who wrote books in her husband’s name deserves to have her own scent. But instead of impersonating her, Colette from the house Tocca leaves an impression of a volatile and weak person. I dare say this is not who Colette was.
This scent is way too brief. It opens with delicious mandarin and juniper and soon moves to the flowers. Finally, after less than 2 hours, I only get vanilla. That does not do it for me. I do not want a fragrance that I have to splash on every half an hour.
So - lovely notes and a beautiful flacon. But longevity is poor.
