Servus zam!
Actually, I'm totally on woody scents; but unfortunately, more and more woody fragrances are heading in the same direction: at the end, that is, in the base, always more and always the "wrong" wood comes to the fore: musty, rotten, wet, old, mushroomy rotten wood!
So smells wood but not! So smells forest! But this is something completely different!!
I want a wood scent, not a forest scent!
Sure, a forest fragrance can also be beautiful - but mostly riechts just exaggerated old and musty.
Fresh - or even better: freshly cut wood smells: fresh (logo), woody(! - also logo), but above all very ethereal and sometimes even mentholisch.
Imagine: a freshly sawn mountain pine, a cypress, a larch, a Swiss stone pine, a thuje - you know the smell; you know what I mean.
For me, this is the epitome of a fresh, invigorating scent!!
Joa, there are many such fragrances that at least start in this similarity, but then all tend towards "forest muff".
As an example, Hinoki is called here: begins wonderfully - drifts then but unfortunately also ...
Not so this one!
He begins with a fresh, peppery woodiness, which remains so over long stretches!
Citrus is there for me, but rather insignificant.
It comes but then very much cedar to it and at some point a certain sweetness, which is apparently THE player here!? No sweetness that tastes / smells like anything; just imagine, one pours some sugar over it...
And so it now goes in a completely different direction: and into the "beautiful" - not the dark, musty!
And that's why this fragrance stays on the "beautiful" - on the "light" side of life and is thus much much easier to wear than other woody fragrances!
With me, the fragrance lasts forever; and when I write forever, then I mean it so!
I spray in the morning 3-5x on the chest, then it smells all day into the evening.
Even at night and even the next day in the evening I can still smell the scent!
For all the above reasons and the for me 1a durability, this fragrance is for me for a long time (and again!) The number 1 and actually always and everywhere wearable ...
Unfortunately, no longer to get; therefore, I have me in time 4 bottles put aside! =)

Good evening!

P.S.:
Do you know the Totengrund in the Lüneburg Heath?
This fragrance reminds me of it: woody juniper (with a little sweetness)!
Chapeau!

BOSS Level
Yes, yes! But not meant as you might think now ... ;-)
This flanker has completely different ingredients than the BOSS Bottled Oud - but still smells absolutely similar!!
Sure - the apple is completely missing here - but otherwise I would immediately guess the BOSS Bottled Oud in a blind tasting (see also my review about it).
But: I think the apple does it! I find the BOSS Bottled Oud almost a bit better ..., rounder! He is somehow denser and juicier; viscous. And in my opinion, this one also lasts longer!
The ARMANI feels somehow more watery and lighter.
Good they both are - but the BOSS wins with me!
Price-wise, they are now almost at the same level; I paid at the time for the Boss but only just under 50€! oO
I think in both perfumes is the same oud built - because that smells 1:1 the same.
Just that the BOSS is consistently a little more fruity and later even at times a little "fresher".
The ARMANI smells from time to time (again and again it comes through) after "stinky oud", which is not at all bad; it is only sometimes and then also difficult to recognize.
That you can hardly recognize the oud, as some write, is certainly not correct: the oud is clearly smellable and brings now and then some smoke with pure.
What I can not smell is the lavender; which is completely missing for me!
Conclusion:
Both are for me spicy - but initially tending in the sour direction - fragrances that later find their way via the oud in a warm sweetish direction; for me, the oud is constantly present!
Nevertheless, I would opt for the BOSS...

Surprisingly inspiring blind buy with a tendency to signature
Eight's up! And rightly so!
Okay - I liked the "normal" BOSS Bottled at that time, but I didn't think it was outstandingly good now, but... good! Until the problem with the caraway came (see my other comment).
Therefore I took distance from the smell and had to have it also really no more.
He kept appearing on all sorts of bestseller lists, but I didn't cry for him and ignored him.
Until here on Parfumo I suddenly found out about this BOSS Bottled Oud! Hmmm...
I first compared the opinions here on Parfumo from the EdT with the EdP and did not know how to decide. The pyramids say the same thing. But the decision was easy, because the EdT doesn?t seem to exist anymore!?
To the fragrance:
Yes - he is BOSS Bottled with Oud! Period! So it went to me in any case with the first trial wearing.
The first thought: oh you Sch
! That much apple? So the original DNA is definitely strongly represented! It's not gonna work out!
But: after a few minutes the oud comes to the fore! And in a way I have never smelled it more beautiful or better!!
And it's probably true what the OVP says: "100% natural OUD"; synthetic, my ass! Exceptionally I believe the packaging inscription mal!
The apple always remains "smelly" - but apparently apple and oud go so well together - or it is simply a brilliant composition in perfect proportion. In between you can hear some smoke, but it's also not obtrusive and fits very well.
Short and sweet: appley - sweet - spicy - oud!
And there's absolutely no scratchy or anything like that here! I would describe it as gentle, mild, yet strong. For the scent is already pure; it is not a quiet pedal! And in combination with the durability doubtless quite a big one!!
At first, because of the apple, I thought it didn't work much. But meanwhile I felt like this great scent every day. And I have to say that the more often you wear the scent, the more the apple scent fades into the background! Not that it's not there anymore; no, you perceive it all the time - but it "disturbs" less and less and connects in an ingenious way with the whole.
The Sillage is good, but not brutal! I would say that one is already well noticed the first 3 to 4 hours. Which brings us right to the shelf life: Very good in my eyes! 5h very well perceptible; 8h are no problem! Also 12h after the application I can smell him on my breast! And when I get up the next day, he's still recognizable! Hey - what do you want more??
Conclusion:
Definitely a very successful ingenious fragrance that could become my AllDayFavorite!
The original bottle is definitely more recognizable - but I believe only because you know "where" the fragrance comes from. If it were from who else or if it were named differently (and without "Bottled"), it would have quite big chances with many other people too!
And yes: definitely the best BOSS Bottled!!

Servus and lots of fun while testing!
;-)

Something completely different
Russian Leather is for me one of the most special fragrances I know!
I couldn't tell here what he reminds me of or what twin scent he has!
And that's what makes it so interesting!

The fragrance begins quite strong and very ethereal - but in a positive sense. And yes, it doesn't bother me if it smells medically at the beginning: it passes relatively fast again! ;-)
After approx. 5 minutes the fragrance (as with all MOLTON BROWN) begins to become stronger. This is really nice!!

Sometime after about 1 hour Russian Leather has reached its real essence:
it is strong, but not too strong;
it is ethereal, but nevertheless sweet (a mad mixture);
it is leathery, but without raspberry (Yippieh!);
he has no extreme Sillage, but you can smell him every now and then when he rushes by;
he has a very long stamina, but is not a beast;
it is striking (and somehow angular), but also very, very soft;
he is extraordinary, incomparable and unique!
Here it concerns a mad smell, which is not completely favorable, but never cheap!!

MOLTON BROWN: Insider tip (basic)!!

Back 2 the 70s
Sorry - but I can't! My grandma smelled like this over 40 years ago!
I don't know what it was, but she always had TOSCA on her! Is that how TOSCA smells? I'll have to check...
This one can't have been it: it's only been around since 2006!

The scent is actually quite good - but the memory (and scents go there immediately - whether you like it or not) predominates here and therefore "grays" me almost.
I liked the smell at that time already somehow, but it was just so something of intrusive - and this is it today also!

A steam hammer from the first second on and he stays it laaaange!
I don't think it's the Amber, because I really like him...!?
Unfortunately I can't filter it out, but for me it remains the same fragrance from beginning to end: sweet and "old" - no change, no nuances.

Too bad, because the Sillage is good, the durability exceptional!
Sorry I can't describe him anymore, but it was too long for a statement.
I don't need it anyway - but: made it is certainly good and has certainly a very good quality.
As so often, the scent can't help that I don't like it (although I think it's good); therefore a balanced 5!
