Ma Rose by Fragonard was a beautiful minty rose — intensely fragrant and wonderfully refreshing. Like a sip of cold mojito with rose syrup on a hot summer’s day. And in winter — like a large bouquet of pink roses, whose bright, ringing scent left a long, unforgettable trail.

For many years, I would visit the Fragonard e-shop for this very fragrance. There were other treasures too — Billet Doux, Caresse, and the original, now discontinued version of Moment Volé. Today, all of them are merely olfactory memories.

The new version of Moment Volé, released in 2024 and bottled in the bottles once used for Billet Doux, bears no resemblance to its eponymous predecessor, it is unexpressive and ordinary.

I'm genuinely surprised by the low rating this perfume has in this community. To me, it's an underrated gem of perfumery – one of the most beautiful almond notes combined with datura I've ever encountered. I wear it on cold days, and every time, someone asks me what beautiful scent I'm wearing. It's elegant and delicate. And most importantly – it's not overused or mainstream.
