Even if you are not a fan of cherry, Lorenzo will change your mind
I think Lorenzo's latest fragrances are becoming extremely elegant and sophisticated.
This one in particular is a beautiful, sweet, and well-balanced Cherry fragrance, enhanced by notes of white flowers and the ink, which is the "magic" ingredient of this fragrance.
A red wine note is also present, which gives it a slightly boozy aura, making it more dynamic and not overwhelming.
I wore it on Saturday night, and several women asked me what fragrance I was wearing, saying it was incredibly sexy on a man...
Although I am not a person who seeks compliments, it is amazing how Lorenzo's creations always generate interest among people around.
Regarding the performance, it's not as strong as Black sea or other "bombs" in terms of projection, but for the same reason, it is more elegant and intimate. The longevity, on the other hand, is excellent as always.
Recommend trying it, as it truly deserves it. Even if you are not a fan of cherry, Lorenzo will change your mind!
P.S. Perfectly unisex, leaning slightly to feminine side.

The cherry on top!
In my naivety, I was convinced I was immune to cherry-scented perfumes. Well, it seems I'm not. I just hadn't gotten to smell the cherry on the cake yet. :)

Cherry Ink didn't even impress me at first. I'd sprayed it on my arm last year in midsummer and thought meh, tonka with even more tonka, sweet and even sweeter, nope, not for me. Fast forward a few month, winter came and ... there I was, still the same old me, only desperately in love with this damn cherry. :))

How is it? Well, in the first few minutes we have the classic somewhat bitter almondy cherry, amaretto liqueur all the way. The almond slowly fades away, instead something tangy-spicy-sour fleetingly passes through the frame, just enough to justify the idea of ink. So far so good, from now on it becomes even better.

The cherry, now sour-sweetened, launches into a fantastic and long term duet with a Chianti Rosso (or whatever red wine you may prefer). Not to lie to you, I don't actually "taste" the wine as such, but it somehow gives me the feeling of a sweet little hangover. Not like "OMG, I was so drunk last night!", but rather that moment when you hold the shirt you wore the night before to your nose and smile to yourself, at fond memories with clinking glasses and guitar chords. To put it short, it blew my mind! At a certain point, I had no choice but to accept my defeat and mumble: Cherry Ink, come to mama!" :))

Longevity and projection are remarkable to say the least.

Great cherry, but not for everyone.
If I hadn`t sampled how Cherry Ink smells on my sister, I might have given it a bad rep. On her, the ink is not very prominent, and she smells like a yummy, not overly sweet cherry jam where a careless housewife hasn`t removed the pits. Then it settles into a boozy, inky cherry. On me, the opening is awesome cherry pits and ink, but then it devolves into ammonia and playdough. Life ain`t fair, is it now. Very pH dependent fragrance. Plus, there's something in this that makes my skin itchy.

Inked up cherry
This is the first synthetic-smelling cherry scent that I enjoy. I generally love a good dark cherry perfume (in the family of Cherry Smoke, Cherry Punk, and the like), so this did not disappoint. The ink note is a little too powerful for me but I still manage to enjoy it. The cherry is dark and deep, supported by florals in a way that actually amplifies the cherry note (at least, on my skin). That said, this is a very strong scent, and I would not be able to wear it everyday. Still, it is a one of a kind cherry perfume, for sure.

New Year's Ride
I have told you before about my riding holidays. But today I come to the depths, haha. Anyone who, like me, was a child in the eighties knows that things were a bit rougher back then in many respects than they are today.

Once a week, an adult group would come to ride at the farm in the evenings. And on New Year's Eve, every year, a New Year's ride was organized for this group, which was considered legendary. How many times did we kids dream of participating in it. And one year, we must have been around 14 or 15 years old, it finally happened. Along with me, another girl was allowed to join the ride. Early in the morning, the horses were saddled, and off we went. First, the long galloping stretch, where we could really let the ponies run, and then the first stop awaited us.

What was the deal with these stops? We visited acquaintances and relatives of the farm owners, and there was strong liquor for the riding group, and we kids were also allowed to partake. Some stops offered, in addition to grain, vodka & Co., which tasted a bit too harsh and burned too much for us girls, dark red, sweet Eckes Edelkirsch. Yummy! That one hit the spot. So we always boldly reached for the shot glass with the red, sugary-sticky liquid instead of the clear stuff. And that was an advantage: the cherry liqueur not only tasted better than the schnapps, but after a few hours, unlike the adult group, we were still somewhat able to ride. The older gentlemen played games to see who could throw the other off their horse the fastest. The riding instructor, usually a serious to grumpy type, demonstrated tricks on horseback (or at least tried to) and ended up on the ground several times. We, however, stayed up and couldn’t quite explain what was happening. We were funny due to the liqueur consumption as well, but the rest, who were actually responsible for us, were completely plastered. Unthinkable today!

Just like Eckes Edelkirsch, Cherry Ink smells and immediately brings me back to the back of my horse on New Year's Eve, and I enjoy a shot of cherry liqueur here and there. This is a simply constructed scent that is actually quite nice to my nose. Cherry and alcoholic notes dominate, along with a few floral elements that have a body lotion-like quality and that wonderful doll note, known from Confetto, which I like so much. Oud can only be sensed. If you don’t know, you won’t notice any oud here. Certainly not a scent I would urgently need right now, but I’m starting to understand this hype around cherry scents a bit, because it can, just like the enjoyment of Eckes, actually be quite fun. It’s also hard to avoid the cherry hype at the moment.

If I were as young today as I was back then, I think I might have even bought this scent. With its somewhat flashy character, Cherry Ink would have fit very well into the eighties.

I would like to sincerely thank Morgaina for the opportunity to test this.

Extremely similar to all others in the cherry + vanilla + leathery/musky drydown category. Cool opening, but that's just for 15 minutes.

Sadly, another "Opening Gambit" from Pazzaglia... fantastic Amarena note that after 15 minutes turns into a soapy rose. Meh.

Beautiful medicinal cherry for 20 minutes, then sweet, powdery and vaguely floral. Not what I'd expected or hoped for; relatively generic.

It's really fascinating to me how the perfume exactly mimics the smell of fresh ink

Ripe summer cherries. Boozy with a hint of almond. Ink and red wine give it unexpected complexity. A unique take on cherry perfume for sure.

After a sweet and boozy nutty-fruity opening, this warm and fruity spicy-resinous Fall fragrance, settles on a smooth resinous-woody base.

70s cherry candy dissolved in all the spirits of a bar cabinet from that era. I imagine the ink to go with it, Oud doesn't matter.

A cocktail cherry in an inkpot. Huh, what’s that about? A humorous creation far from Guerlain or Tom Ford.

Cherry scents in the style of Tom Ford or Cherry Punk aren't really my thing, but I really, really like this fragrance because it's not so...
