Some time ago, quite spontaneously after work, I strolled through the city and ended up in a perfumery. Without any great expectations, I had 
Palatine sprayed onto a strip of paper, simply out of curiosity, and took the strip with me on my little shopping trip. After just a few minutes, I realized that I could hardly let go of it. I kept holding it to my nose.
A perfume in this price range has to really touch me and it did. At the end of the shopping trip, I had to take the bottle with me.
Palatine begins radiantly, fruity and fresh. Mandarin and bergamot lend a citrusy brightness, while the pear provides a juicy sweetness. Very soft and feminine.
A finely balanced floral composition unfolds in the heart. A delicate powdery freshness, "modern florality", elegant and floral-fluffy, but not old-fashioned.

When darkness blooms
I was actually on my way to the perfumery to buy a niche fragrance. However, the selection was relatively small and despite the help of two sales assistants, I didn't find the right one for me. When it was already clear that I was going to leave the store without a new fragrance, a saleswoman came around the corner with L'interdit Absolut by Givenchy. To be honest, I only tested it out of courtesy, as the other variants never appealed to me.
But this one was different.
It inspired me straight away.
The fragrance is sensual, dark and intense, yet elegant and mysterious. Creamy flowers meet velvety spice. I am usually cautious with lavender, but here it fits perfectly, as if it were a cool breeze.
It starts off floral, sweet and creamy, then the flowers become more opulent and the cool lavender is added, after which it becomes warm, sensual and softly woody. It lasts for days on my clothes and for hours on my skin. When I leave the house in the morning, I can still smell it close to my skin in the evening.
