Very balsamy and sugary
Well, the smell isn't bad in itself but it's SO balsamy and SO sugary...

It very quickly became cloying and it really bothered me. The opening was promising with a very nice duo tuberose/tobacco but it all ended with ultra sweet orange blossom and very heady tuberose. The cistus is far too prominent for my taste.

Very reminiscent of Quatre Absolu by Boucheron but also far more cloying in my opinion.

I didn't like it.

Its smell doesn't exactly put me in a good mood
I received a sample as a gift with a purchase. It's a changeable perfume on my skin (sometimes it lingers, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it's discreet, sometimes it overwhelms me). There were times when its smell didn't put me in a good mood and for me, the most important thing in a perfume is that it gives me a good, pleasant, wonderful mood if possible... I see it being worn more by a man than a woman. It's masculine unisex, I would say. I think it's better worn in winter and autumn. It seems a bit expensive to me considering the smell it has. I won't buy it for myself unless my tastes and opinions change. Rating: 7/10

Push your limits, Kevin-Joshua!
So far, Kevin-Joshua had a very clear type...

She should be elegant, petite, with carefully styled hair, typically blonde, subtle make-up, lipstick: at best rosewood. She smells and looks a bit like freshly washed. She is sexy but only at the right time, click-clack, wink, wink... Just like L'Interdit (2018) Eau de Parfum

And now he was wondering how the hell he ended up on this date? L'Interdit Absolu Black leather jacket, rugged boots, blood-red lips, stormy hairstyle. A double espresso in one hand and a cigarette in the other. She is already very sexy but she interrupts him, sitting with her legs wide apart and laughing loudly. And what smells so dark and bitter here? Is she wearing a men's fragrance?

She is great, thinks Kevin-Joshua...but he is also a bit scared.

L'Interdit Absolu has the basic DNA of L'Interdit (2018) Eau de Parfum but anyone expecting just intense, sexy, feminine jasmine with a little twist will probably be disappointed.

For me, this is an absolutely unisex scent in the best sense with a lot of bitterness and dark spice from tobacco and a whole lot of patchouli. It lasts forever on clothing and is also beautiful the next day.

I like it more with every wear. However, it is probably not everybody's darling.

Seduction in a Bottle
The new L'Interdit Absolu, I had to have it immediately, as I am already a fan of the L'Interdit line.
I can smell the neroli very well at the beginning. After that, the fragrance takes on a pleasant spiciness, which comes from the cardamom.
As it develops further, the tobacco reveals itself, giving the scent that wicked, sexy side.
It has a bit of a shisha vibe for me, as the fragrance becomes beautifully sweet and slightly smoky.
For me personally, it's even nicer than L'Interdit Rouge, although that has always been my favorite in the line.
"L'Interdit Absolu" is now my absolute favorite and will be repurchased again and again.

This line is simply beautiful
Once again something for the ladies: L'Interdit Absolu from Givenchy. A brand that I absolutely love and I can't really name any bad releases. The ladies' line L'Interdit I find really really beautiful and it already counts among my favorites from the women's designers. The hallmark is definitely this tuberose note that is actually at the forefront of all the fragrances in this line. I find tuberose in women's fragrances extremely sexy and this note also has a playful vibe in my eyes. For nightlife and flirting, this is already a great choice. Especially the Rouge releases from this line have captivated me. This newer Absolu goes a bit more in an elegant direction and the tuberose doesn't stand out as strongly as in the other releases. You can also see it in the fragrance pyramid, where several fragrance notes are capitalized. This is absolutely true here and thus you get a scent that is very multifaceted and also elegant.

In terms of price, this line is not cheap and falls into the clearly upscale designer price range. The newer releases are not really on sale anyway, but that will probably come in the next few months for this fragrance. €146 for 80ml is already set quite high from the RRP. For a bit less, you can already find it in some shops. Also available in 35 and 50ml.
The packaging is an ordinary inconspicuous box and the bottle is really pretty. Great rounded corners and kept in black, which is also reflected in the scent.
As mentioned, the scent is a very multifaceted perfume that feels elegant through and through, but still has a slight playful vibe. This version of L'Interdit is clearly darker and thus does justice to the black bottle coloring. A really great mix of sweet, spicy, floral, and also soft-dark notes. The base DNA of this fragrance is of course very floral as is typical in women's mainstream and also in this line. Tuberose is once again very active, but it doesn't stand alone at the forefront here. Jasmine and orange blossom & neroli accompany wonderfully and provide a not too heavy, cloying floral touch. Gentle lavender with a lot of spicy cardamom also contributes to an elegant and not too heavy scent. The cardamom note fits perfectly with the floral sweetness. Lavender & neroli offer somewhat fresher notes in contrast. Even though no sweet notes are indicated in the pyramid, this is clearly a sweet fragrance. Dark patchouli is also very present, which fits wonderfully into these "evening fragrances." Subtle tobacco also comes in the base, which is interesting and adds a great spiciness. Overall very elegant and also mature.
Performance is reliably good as with all of this line. This one doesn't reach the Rouge fragrances, but it also has a distinctly different scent profile. The longevity is about 10 hours or a bit more with above-average sillage. You won't stand out negatively due to too strong sillage.

Once again a great release from the L'Interdit line. I can absolutely recommend it, but maybe look for offers or wait.

A small addendum: I saw too late that this is officially declared as a unisex fragrance, which is also stated on the official Givenchy website. Due to the significantly milder tuberose note, it is also well wearable by men. Likewise, this cardamom spice, which is anyway present in many men's fragrances. A great mix that convinces me.

All flankers smell similar. I love tobacco notes so I have nothing bad to say. Heavier, warm L'Interdit. Is to me what Rouge is to people.

Above average performance, though that Emily in Paris was the brand's face, luckily not. I mean it's alright like, overrated as Stacy.

White flower announcement. Jasmine, neroli, and tuberose are loudly vying for attention. A hint of patchouli tries to ground it, but has little chance...

Wait for it: then it’s not so rough, loud, or scratchy anymore. Then it’s a
floral-sweet, smoky, creamy, adult seducer.

Sweeter, stronger, more synthetic than Rouge, with a light cherry note, a hint of masculinity, yet feminine enough thanks to the tuberose, orange blossom - wonderful!

Really a very distinctive L'interdit! The floral notes are very spicy, mystical, and dark. Still sexy, but more mature!

Cardamom, you naughty little thing,
you love being in the spotlight,
your face wrapped in tobacco. Sexy.
But I still won’t give you applause.
