"Curiosity!" was the first word that came to mind when I read the name. After all, the color black wasn't really visible because it's an amber liquid in a clear bottle with a gold lid. Doesn't sound like black or dark to me now. So what's the deal with the black mafia. Questions we should clarify....
The first spray. "Green!" is the second word in my head. Green like cannabis and not like a typical green scent. The slightly sweet cannabis smell comes right through. Slightly resinous and smoky in the background. "Someone is smoking something...", I think to myself. Well at least that explains the Mafia part...
Let's keep smelling. Deep puff... "Licorice?!?" is the third word, or rather the third question in my head. The cannabis note has morphed into something that reminds me of licorice. Also, leather has appeared out of nowhere. The background still smells resinous and smoky. Now we also know where the color black comes from.
After a few hours, the scent gets darker. Incense comes out more. Still leather in the background, but more supportive. Tobacco works its way to the front along with a slightly musty oud note. Strong in character. The scent became much darker and deeper than when I started. Resinous still describes it quite well. After 12 hours, there's still an incense base to smell. Great performance!
The fragrance was sent to me by Bybozo for a review. The packaging was great and surprised me. Very high quality. The spray head is great and the lid weighs quite a bit, more than Marly I think even. Overall convinced me very much for the price and should be a good alternative to Black Afgano.

Black leather jacket
I must mention briefly for the sake of completeness that the dear Rudi of L'Ateliero has sent me this fragrance. Now I would like to share my impressions about it with you:
Everyone knows the black leather jacket. Perfect to complete any look. A must-have in the closet. Cool, edgy and provocative. Exactly how I would describe this fragrance.
Leather is definitely the dominant player up front. For the first few seconds almost a little too sharp, but then nice leathery with a tendency to smoky. In the background, red fruits or berries play a role, but fit very well into the overall picture. The longer the scent stays on the skin, it becomes warmer and creamier. The sandalwood gives off a sweet creamy note that tames the dominant leather a bit. Musk is definitely also perceptible but plays by far not so big a role.
The fragrance is very reminiscent in its entirety of well-known leather candidates such as Tuscan Leather, Godolphin or La Yuqawam. However, the somewhat tamed leather note makes it much more wearable. I would even consider him as an office candidate.
All in all, we have good longevity. The sillage is strong in the first hours and decreases somewhat towards the end. Flacon unfortunately not so high quality, as the lid is plastic and the bottle is designed relatively simple. Price-performance ratio nevertheless relatively strong, because you get good designer quality for a reasonable price
