Caribbean Cool Water
Actually, I had ordered a bottle as a gift, but now I prefer to keep it myself and give away Montblanc Explorer instead, which is a bit less suited to me.

The first experience with Cool Water Intense, the first spray, was intense and left me a little speechless at first: Does it smell good or not? I vacillated between "wow" and "yuck / too crass".
The scent pyramid is quite simple, but it is coherent: When sprayed, it smells intense, slightly sweet, juicy and room filling like tangerine. When the top note settles, really fresh coconut water is added (without bringing additional sweetness). I think it also smells slightly of ripe cantaloupe melon, but maybe this is just a random nuance of tangerine.
A very unusual and courageous combination, in which the classic Cool Water DNA with its aquatic character also swings along quite discreetly. Fortunately, the amber ensures that the fragrance brings something round and gentle and at the same time a little depth. And that for an incredibly long time!

Wow or yuck? I've made up my mind: WOW!
I think Davidoff has made a great success here, and the fragrance will certainly find many friends.
He is not necessarily super masculine, but sufficiently mature to wear him without unwanted reactions not only in a white suit on a Caribbean beach, but also in a sunny German city. Probably some ladies could also wear it well.

Above-average potency and durability (skin approx. 10-12 hours, textile 1-2 days), a (initially) very strong projection and a good silage make the fragrance a real recommendation in terms of price!

Fleeting everyday champion
Actually Coach has everything a great fragrance needs.
The top note is not as strong as e.g. JPG Le Male, which always makes my brain vibrate (in a positive sense) - but sufficiently refreshing and interesting. I don't notice the often criticized synthetic nature of the initially dominant pear note, I find the pear altogether discreetly pleasant and especially in the first seconds I notice a clear freshness (without aquatic character). This first impression is followed by an unbelievably caressing softness, which is probably due to the pear-kumquat note in combination with bergamot and a hint of cardamom and coriander, which is still present, but has slackened off a bit.
Later, a minimal leather-wood accent is added, which gives the fragrance the necessary depth and maturity - otherwise, however, not much else happens after the top note has faded away.

For me it is a super favourite scent for everyday life - whether in the office, in the evening in a restaurant, at the theatre or on the sofa in the evening: Coach is my gentle feel-good companion.

As I said, Coach actually has everything a great fragrance needs.
Why "actually"?
As relaxed and unexcited as the fragrance is, its sillage is minimal (almost only close to the body). This is logical and coherent, but a little more charisma would be desirable. What good is a great scent if nobody but the wearer really notices it?
As a date scent or similar occasions, Coach is therefore unfortunately no good.
Also the durability is not the best - after about 3-6 hours only discreet remains of the fragrance are noticeable.

Conclusion:
You can't go wrong with Coach. It suits every age and nobody will be bothered by the scent - but you will hardly get any compliments because of the discreet sillage.
You are a relaxed, nice, self-confident type, who is rather reserved and does not like to be the center of attention? Then you are like Coach.
And so am I.

Intensive fall into the rum pot
Because of some reviews here I became aware of the fragrance, looking for an upscale, adult, woody gentleman scent. The price finally gave the impulse for a blind buy.
I'm no expert, maybe the fragrance is only something for experienced perfumers, but when I set the first test spray (in the car, of all places!), I first thought the perfume had already been tilted. This is quite clearly not the case now, but the fragrance disappoints me all along the line.

The top note opens with rum, rum, rum. Then it becomes more complex, it becomes slightly woody and cinnamon joins the rum. The more the base note asserts itself (in my case after about 4 hours on the back of my hand - despite washing my hands), the more "bearable" the fragrance becomes for me. The extremely alcoholic rum note fades away more and more, and soft leather with unobtrusive cinnamon asserts itself a bit more, a pinch of incense I think I also perceive, patchouli and sandalwood rather not.
The scent is intense like a bomb (2 sprays can captivate an entire apartment for at least half the day), and that's exactly his problem: too much, too intense - no balance, no finesse.

Conclusion:
The fragrance is only acceptable in the heart and base notes. He smells very alcoholic / boozy. For the office it is therefore nothing, the colleagues might think you have a flag
Even younger men should not be able to do anything with the fragrance.
The closest I can see the scent is on a grey-haired man (Bentley driver?) in a suit, sitting in the cigar room with a drink in one hand and a Havana in the other. This is where this strong note of alcohol belongs, this is where it should stay. Even the low price and the valuable flacon don't help here.
