Last weekend, I had the pleasure of getting to know MMW at Schnitzler. It was supposed to be something new and woody. New, no question, MMW was released in 2022.
This fragrance definitely needs a bit of development on the skin for the beautiful cedar notes to reveal themselves alongside the spicy and balsamic notes. Vetiver is clearly noticeable, and a hint of sandalwood appears over time. What particularly benefits me as a woman are the floral and powdery notes. The longevity is outstanding. Sprayed on in the evening, went out, and smelled it again on my wrist in the morning - it’s still very present there.
I find the scent to be very suitable for everyday wear and pleasing, and I also enjoy ISO E Super and Ambrox in it - well perceivable to my nose, as I like to layer.
I have a bit of the impression that MMW is moody, moody (when it comes to scents) like I am. It’s a pleasure for me to smell something different every time.
I cannot share the previously meager rating. MMW will certainly be good to wear in autumn, winter, and spring and will be (m-)y loyal companion.

I believe we can smell differently and therefore perceive different components in this little fragrance. Of course, it sounds better when it says fresh - citrusy - grapefruit bitter and not sweaty. And that’s exactly why I love it in the summer. I know for sure that I will sweat a lot today (and maybe even stink) .. but Pamplelune gives me the feeling that it belongs to today and the heat. When a deodorant fails, we feel ashamed. Pamplelune does not fail; this scent simply adapts ol·fak·to·risch. For me personally, the best and safest summer fragrance.

When a nose knows something, it recognizes it again later.
As a girl, I was always invited to our neighbors' birthday parties in January because our female neighbor had three boys and perhaps would have liked to have a girl around. She fulfilled this wish at children's birthday parties.
And as a girl, you have to go to the bathroom, especially at birthdays when there was plenty to eat and drink. The guest bathroom was to the right of the front door, past the cold hallway and the coat rack. There hung the family's coats, or rather the fur coats of our female neighbor and..
they always smelled - (Perfume - I didn't know until then).
Much, much later, I found out that it must have been Mitsouko, because the memories of the scent of our female neighbor came to me when I, as a young woman, wanted to smell or buy something special, if it wasn't going to be the popular Janine D. from back then. In the wonderful perfumery, they showed me various classics from Guerlain, and I was just 20 years old. Mitsouko was among them, and the feeling returned: rushing past the fur coats and then in winter hurrying because of the cold toilet seat, as there was no heating..
Mitsouko - not sweet and not heavy, maybe a bit woody (we lived near the forest) - not loud, somehow connected to nature and definitely more feminine.
Today, Mitsouko is in my collection, and I enjoy using it again and again in memory of our female neighbor, who unfortunately left us far too early.

Long, long ago.. It was around Christmas time and my aunt was sitting next to me, and she smelled sooo delicious. Now, you shouldn't imagine my aunt as an old lady, no, she was actually just a bit older than us kids and always in a great mood. She pulled out a brown bottle from her handbag and gave me a spritz.
I found Aromatics Elixir simply beautiful to want. Somehow the bottle had already changed, but the scent that I ordered for my sickbed after Christmas smelled just as good as my aunt's.
I wore it for a very long time and later my girls always referred to it as the attic clothes box. My collecting passion began, but no one managed to accompany me for so long; it was my signature scent for a long time. For me, it was always sooo delicious that back then I would practically follow the scent trail, meaning I would smell it in the department store and actually pick up the trail to find out what the lady looks like who wears this scent too.
From hearsay, I know that people either love it or they don't. This makes Aromatics Elixir always something special, even if my nose doesn't perceive it the same way as in 1982.
Today, I would say it's more for older people (aunts, indeed) and not for girls..

How can one buy such an expensive fragrance blindly: I was on vacation, Corona still didn’t allow for free shopping everywhere, and I stood in front of the perfumery and had completely forgotten my vaccination proof... The ladies in Düsseldorf were very eager to do something nice for me.
Thus, I got to smell 3 candidates from my wish list - of course outside the door and only on a test strip, and in my exuberance, I chose and paid for Angelique Noire.
I quickly learned to love the perceived uniqueness of this elixir and am thrilled. I am discovering how multifaceted Angelique Noire is, little by little. I particularly enjoy the surprising scent development, as I often find something lacking in fragrances.
I have never been so impressed by a fragrance: strength, security, and confidence are the right words for what Angelique Noire gives me.
