Young Adults
I have known Aventus since 2015. Back then, I was, naturally, younger. The scent was far too mature for me at that time and clearly belonged to the 40+ generation, so to speak, adults in the broadest sense. With the Aventus today, my opinion has changed, or perhaps the fragrance has? A lot is written about reformulations and the loss of the smoky pineapple.
But I actually have the impression that Creed's marketing is trying to appeal more to the 30+ generation (younger). So they are attempting a balancing act in the lab that, evidently, does not sit well with some. The new Aventus is more citrusy and fresher, somewhat soapy, and with a slightly weaker sillage. The smokiness and the pineapple are hardly present anymore. For me, it's more of an Aventus-understatement scent, or Aventus Cologne II? So the advocates of the original Aventus scent are left with no choice but to rely on old stock or wait for a new (old) formulation from the Creed fragrance lab.
