White Chocolate - the favourite chocolate of my childhood
Comment No. 3

All good things come in threes they say. Here that is definitely the case... Coromandel is for me the epitome of all good things combined in one fragrance.

Indicated in the section of female fragrances, yet completely unisex in my opinion. The absolutely most beautiful patchouli fragrance I know, with many different facets that show up again and again depending on the body, room and outside temperature in combination with the moisture that is in the air and on the skin..

Sometimes I smell more citrus- slightly powdery-leathery notes, sometimes more creamy, (white) chocolaty-sweet notes that all in all completely interweave beautifully to provide a very pleasant fragrance experience.

Never too strong, never too weak. Never intrusive, never penetrating. Always present & smellable. No fragrance I've ever had conjures up the people around me more often a smile on his face than this fragrance. For a long time it had to be very masculine and fresh for me so that I got the feeling that it fits, this fragrance has changed that feeling..

After some research into the ingredients of all the perfumes I have ever had, have and will have, I am extremely glad that this Chanel contains neither BHT nor Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial). The latter will be officially banned next year, yet so many people still put it on their skin every day, which saddens me as these ingredients are known to have toxic properties that can cause allergies, skin irritation, headaches and nausea. In addition, they are associated with carcinogenic, hormone altering and reproductive effects which I consider to be of the highest concern. With a reason why my collection of 154 fragrances has reduced to 4.

At this point I wish everyone good health & happiness and maybe here and there a little more awareness in relation to such issues.

The versatile Viking - love on the 5th sniffer
Comment no. 2 on my part, the second after a long journey of searching for scents. Constantly motivated to put together a top ten fragrances that I can use with pride and love...

First of all: I don't want to have a huge collection anymore, because I have noticed for me that it is rather an indecisiveness with me. I looked at my 55 fragrances that I had in my collection at that time and thought to myself: Hm, cool to have such a nice selection. However, after wearing these 55 several times I find only 35 of them quite okay, 10 quite good and 10 fantastic plus minus. So for what 45 fragrances do you have in your assortment that I don't really need? Many fragrances had to go, if they couldn't make me happy then maybe someone else? And winning a little bit of money back is also a positive side effect for me, although it is clear that I made quite a minus :-) That's the way it is in life, sometimes you lose and sometimes you win. Both should definitely be a lesson..

To the Viking: This Creed here really belongs to my current Top Ten fragrances (May 2020)

10 Creed fragrances were approximately in my collection, about Aventus - GIT - Millesime Imperial - Himalaya - Silver Mountain Water etc. So I was really a little Creed fanboy so to speak. Unfortunately, no long-term joyful use could be made of all these fragrances, except for Aventus and the Viking... Unfortunately, I said to myself that the scent DNA was cloudy and that after I bought the cheaper clone version "Club de Nuit Intense" from Armaf and used it a few times, in retrospect it was a total bad buy for me this Armaf. Unfortunately I didn't like the beloved Aventus anymore even if it sounds funny and that's why the gold medal in the Creed house goes from me to Creed Viking :-)

The first four times I tested the good Viking it was a steady improvement of the scent warning. If you test a lot of scents in a short period of time, you can't deny that you can't smell the natural scent DNA properly, even when using coffee beans. So you should be really careful not to test too many at once, not apply too many scents to the skin and always test inside and outside in my opinion and wait for the dry-down. Prejudices should also be approached with caution, in my opinion.

In my opinion the scent DNA of the Viking is very similar to "Terre d'Hermes" and I only noticed that after wearing it several times. Also like with the Hermes it was only love on the 5th or 6th sniffer and also like with the Hermes I liked the scent at the beginning but not at all! The more beautiful that he could still convince me... Even if I don't love the Hermes anymore, I love the Viking even more! For me it is wider, rounder, the noble rose nuances in the background mixed with the minty prelude and the woody - fresh progression I really find extremely pleasant and special. It is retro old school and modern trend-setting in one. Very masculine, despite the light rose. On the whole very versatile - sometimes I smell more mint, sometimes more wood, sometimes more citrus fruits, sometimes a touch of lavender... Good for all seasons, except during the high summer days. Highly recommended for spring and mild summer nights. Once again to write down : I love the complexity of this fragrance !
What I don't like about it is the fact that the durability must be really better at this price performance. It's the reason why the Viking only ranks 10th on my top ten fragrances. What I can recommend at this point is to layer it with Molecule 01, this combination makes it last much longer, from 3-4 hours on loose 6-7 hours at least on my skin.

Conclusion:
Clear recommendation to buy if you want to have a special fragrance and you are not financially limited. But if I do not have much money left I would do without. I would definitely buy other fragrances for this price first. Nevertheless I am glad that I have it and I am proud to wear it

light - noble - elegant
I dedicate this very first Parfumo Commentary to this newly acquired masterpiece.

Since I had been following comments for several months, but never registered with Parfumo, I had to do it without resistance. I have always been a lover of good fragrances, but my love of the world of fragrances has grown so much in recent months that I bought about 15 new fragrances in half a year. The fact that I finally registered to express my opinion was only a matter of time & of course I hope that this comment about this fragrance can inspire somebody to try it out or to help with any ambiguity.

Now to the fragrance: Bois d'Argent is in my opinion the best of all Dior Privée fragrances. Very mysterious & light - nevertheless good durability despite not very strong Sillage. At first I didn't know if I should go for Ambre Nuit because a good colleague was extremely enthusiastic about it and he seems to be the most popular of the collection and also the one with the best rating on Parfumo. Since I seldom go on the opinion of others, but still like to listen to them, it had to be Bois d'Argent...

For me it is more unobtrusive, less floral, more mysterious, creamier, more mature, nobler & more elegant than Ambre Nuit & definitely very specially combined. Especially in the dry-down very pleasant and light. The opening seems to me rather incense & iris-heavy, but after some time it looks very creamy and a light vanilla-coconut note mixed with a hint of honey and even a smaller hint of leather shows to develop. Even if vanilla or coconut is not mentioned, I think these notes are easy to smell. The shelf life is in the higher range, even if the fragrance itself is generally not very noticeable. It is like a light coating of absolute elegance and always looks very high quality and unique. For me it's one of the finest fragrances I've ever known and I think it's definitely worth its money.

Every listener & fan of the German Sprechgesangsmusik will know Mr. Schindler, artist name "Shindy". He mentions this fragrance in his song "Raffaelo" and if you look at his video clip and have the ability to record the atmosphere, you can see which vibe the fragrance has because I think it fits perfectly. Simply a light - noble - elegant composition in which life is celebrated with style and pleasure. That's how I see that scent. Even though it didn't trigger a wow effect in me in the beginning, it is and will remain one of my top 5 favorite fragrances & this will stay that way for all time.
