No more blind purchases!
It's bad enough: I'm constantly being tempted to buy fragrances without trying them first. This is what happened with Adidas Active Bodies. I was misled by the numerous positive evaluations by the many users. So many people can't be wrong, one would think. But in the end I can only confirm the high durability and decent sillage. In my opinion, the fragrance itself comes across as cheap as it is. Drugstore scent of the lowest class, nothing else. No refinement at all, just a fragrance mix without a clear line, roughly in the direction of "masculine-spicy-sporty-fresh". How one can attribute something like style or high quality to this perfume is a mystery to me. A 1.50 Euro shower gel from a discount store could smell exactly the same. It lacks recognition value, class and elegance. People who have always made this fragrance their signature should think outside the box and free themselves from their rigid thought patterns. Because one thing you can believe me: this fragrance is not well received in the environment...
A small amount of money, but a pity...

Is that the smell of today's man?
Yes, I admit it: I like to polarize. Not because I like to; I just talk the way my beak has grown, sometimes without regard to losses. I also have my own personal opinion about the popular Sauvage.
Many call this fragrance a pattern of masculinity, almost pretending it could be the go-to scent of a Jason Statham. Unfortunately, I see it differently: Sauvage is certainly a very pleasing scent. First it smells intensely citric, then it adds a sporty note, and finally it really does have something of a shower gel or aftershave. Here I see an unmistakably masculine NOTE - but nothing more. But the airy, fruity character of this fragrance throughout the whole process makes it seem a bit soft. Many people claim that the name Sauvage (German for "wild") would be appropriate for such a fragrance. I don't think it has anything raw, animal, natural, but rather appears cultivated and elegant. And this is exactly what leads me not to classify Dior's driving force as typically male. Certainly there has been a change in the world of men: to care for oneself with beauty products is no longer misunderstood. Nevertheless, this type is not what many associate with a "real" man. When women think of real men, they think of hairy, pithy, sometimes somewhat clumsy guys. Men with character, like their fathers. They didn't carry fragrances in the affected way that today's men do, who only want to give the impression of carrying something genuinely raw inside them. They spray themselves with scents like Sauvage and hope that this will give them character, which unfortunately simply doesn't work with the multitude of wearers. On the other hand, men like our fathers UNDERTAKE their already existing and unmistakable character with inyour-face scents. Macho airs included and even desired! Often they were clumsy in the dosage, but that's exactly what made them real men as well, who didn't study videos about the right way to apply different scents, who had a signature scent and not a "Fragrance-Wardrobe"...
I could go on forever with examples, but I want to round off my article with the following thought: Sauvage is a reflection of what's happening to the male world today: No coincidences, everything is precisely trimmed, just the appearance of wild. This scent is not a bad one for me, it is rightly a crowdpleaser. But that's exactly what bothers me: no rough edges. I find the general tendency towards men's fragrances that are becoming more and more unisex-suitable generally depressing. Because I like being a man of the old school, despite my "only" 34 years.

Count Dracula's summer signature
Even though I am aware that I will reap a huge Shitstorm in this community for my personal opinion, I still want to make it known here.
The scent may be hypnotic. The scent may please many. The fragrance may be one of the most sold.
Nevertheless, I think one should not be influenced. That's exactly what happened to me. I let myself be fooled by the almost exclusively positive impressions and reviews and bought it blindly. And I maintain that this fragrance wouldn't get nearly as much attention if it were a noname scent in a less cool-looking bottle. Because, contrary to what is often claimed here, I don't find this fragrance fresh at all. On the contrary, the incense gives it a rather gothic touch, and I don't think it's a real aquatint. I have often heard or read about this fragrance that it is suitable for wearers 30+. Unfortunately, I cannot confirm this because of the gothic character of the fragrance, and also because it is very formal, over-scented and exaggeratedly masculine - just like the shaving lotions of older ladies and gentlemen. I see him with a successful 50+ - suit. The very formal note also means that I don't see AdG Profumo as an "all season, all occasion" fragrance, but rather as an office and evening fragrance (especially for formal occasions).
The contained scents (patchouli, frankincense, rose geranium) give in my opinion the impression that this fragrance is extremely noble and of high quality. But in reality, from my point of view, this is a 0815 trick of the fragrance industry. Fragrances like Encre Noire are also automatically attributed an elegance and value that I simply cannot comprehend, and I see the reason for this in the woody scents, which many already see as a quality feature per se. You really shouldn't surround yourself with such an artificial scent that devours your own character from my point of view. In any case, the scent doesn't suit me at all, and now that I know what it smells like, I remembered in retrospect that I had smelled it a couple of times on men who didn't like it either.
It may be stormed!

The brew smells pretty good. Starts with something lemon like and then becomes so fresh laundry moderate, also a bit striking. The Pulle actually looks good, really noble and heavy. The sprayer's gonna knock the juice out good.
Keep it up Cyrus, make more horny products. Smell like a rich guy with 60 Euro scent on his skin!
