Jeremy's big hit? Is that it?
I never thought I would write a comment someday; I usually prefer to stick to short statements. But now I'm doing it anyway, rightly so, I think.
A fellow perfume enthusiast decided to order a sample pack with the 3 men's fragrances from Fragrance. One before the release, based on the videos. Undoubtedly, his expectations were high, after all, Black Tie, with its original price of 329€/100ml, is already in a league with Xerjoff or Roja fragrances, which are mostly real treats for the more discerning nose.
The package arrived quickly and well-packaged, so he invited me to test it. And what can I say? Well, the first impression... These 10ml travel flacons don’t offer much. The sprayer is at best okay; I’ve had pocket atomizers with better spray heads. (I’ve been told that the 100ml flacons are even cheaper but spray better?)
Now to the actual protagonist, the scent.
2 sprays in the elbow crease, one of Jeremy's popular pulse points, directly on the skin.
Citrusy-fresh. That’s all there is in the top note. It somewhat reminds me of Montblanc Explorer or CDNIM, definitely not in the higher niche category.
After about 30 minutes, the fresh-citrusy start fades, and a woody-vetiver scent emerges, which actually reminds me of Sauvage - let’s forget the dominant Ambrox for a moment.
And that’s how it stays, with decent longevity on the skin; I noticed it for sure for 8 hours, and on clothing, it lasts several days, but I expect that from an extrait.
Conclusion? A mix of Aventus-dupe start and Sauvage-without-Ambrox heart. It’s okay; I miss leather, but that doesn’t matter; I find it more suitable for everyday wear than for suits.
The price? Outrageously cheeky! 50€ per 100ml would have been reasonable, considering that the YouTuber himself always preaches how cheap it is to produce perfumes. This has nothing to do with niche in the 300€ sector. Unfortunately, no purchase recommendation from me...
