Pure Ambivalence
The scent is admittedly nothing special. It has that drugstore charm and consequently has a certain synthetic quality; it simply lacks a certain kick. And yet, I quite like it. At first, it smells fresh and then becomes a bit woodier, but unfortunately, there is always a very faint hint of industrial alcohol lingering in the background. That's a bit of a shame, because then I would like the scent a little more. Therefore, I don't wear it very often, but I won't part with it, as I still like it despite its mentioned drawbacks. It does have something after all...

A Gum for the Nose
I unfortunately have to agree with the commentators before me. The scent is really very minty, which makes it fresh and zesty. This is definitely a summer fragrance. Unfortunately, after that, nothing else really develops; nothing else builds up or deepens or transforms. It's a very simply constructed fragrance without variety. And the longevity of this little water is also rather average. Spending over 80 EUR for such a simple scent is, in my opinion, unjustified given this fragrance result. I might as well slather myself with Odol mouthwash from the drugstore for 1.99 €, as the mint scent lasts all day :-)

Yeah, it fits.
In my opinion, DM has a solid price-performance bargain with this fragrance in its lineup. The price is completely reasonable for a drugstore scent. But what you get for your money is quite remarkable, uh sorry, fragrant. You can't expect a scent explosion or a creative revelation, but what you do sniff out is pretty decent. According to the fragrance pyramid, you should be able to smell mugwort and cinnamon bark, well, if I knew what that smelled like, I could confirm that or not. Cinnamon bark smells like cinnamon, right? Then I didn't perceive it, and I only know mugwort from our dog :-) I can confirm the lavender and orange blossom. And if what lightly hints at eucalyptus-freshness at the back of the nose is cardamom, then that aligns with the statement in the fragrance pyramid as well. I find the lightly floral-fresh scent at the beginning quite pleasant; afterwards, it gains a bit more depth, "more guts," and becomes rougher and more oriental. Personally, I would have liked a bit more sandalwood and musk here. The longevity is probably due to the price... for me, everything was gone after 3-4 hours unfortunately. But all in all: A decent scent for an in-between... Although, are there scents "for in-between"? If so, then this scent is definitely one of them.

Love at the Second Sniff
I had my eye on Grey Flannel for a long time and finally got it last week. Full of anticipation and excitement (also because of the different and wildly contradictory reviews here), I opened the bottle and allowed myself a first, tentative sniff. Hmm, what is that? Something dusty-musty is making its way. I need to know more. I spray the first blast on my wrist and wait a few seconds. Ok, the dustiness is still there, but it fades quite quickly, and then a wild lemony-floral mix comes forward. It's quite pleasant, but it doesn't fully convince me yet, and then my Achilles' heel reveals itself: moss! Ok, I surrender! The scent is exactly what I like! While the beginning was confusing and caused a few moments of disappointment, the finale is indeed pleasant and convincing.

This is how a man should smell
I bought the fragrance really cheap at "Action." I was in a nostalgic mood and also in bargain-hunting mode. I associate the scent with childhood memories from the 70s and 80s. Many men in my family smelled like this when there was some family anniversary to celebrate. Back then, I just perceived the scent and thought that a man must smell like this. Over 30 years later, I see things quite differently. Today, no man has to smell like this anymore... but I would find it nice if this scent were smelled more often again. When I brought the bottle to the office for my colleagues to sniff, I only received a disgusted "Baaah, that's disgusting!" This fragrance will probably evoke exactly this reaction in many people, and I can almost understand it. The intense lemoniness at the very beginning is really quite an acquired taste. Anise is somewhat noticeable, but the lemon is really dominant. After a short time, however, the 80s effect completely kicks in: MOSS, MOSS, and more MOSS, and oh yes, a delicious hint of vanilla! And I must say: I like it a lot! If you can't stand moss, stay away!
