Do you want to smell what an ant smells ?
Opening:
That might sound strange, but it’s a simple way to describe this fragrance.
The opening is very bombastic at first, so don’t judge it immediately. It smells like dirt, grass, and a hint of incense. (Not sure why an ant would smell incense , maybe he’s a missionary walking through the grass ). Don’t be intimidated by the incense here , I’m not a fan of incense-heavy scents and this isn’t one. Many people confuse the note with a mix of pepper and oregano. The opening is fresh, but not summery , its more like the green freshness of leaves and woods.

Heart:
This truly is the heart of the fragrance and it nails the original. It’s a beautiful mix of green notes with subtle sweetness and some leathery and woody undertones. This is far from a safe fragrance. it’s unique and mysterious compliment getter. People will want to know what you’re wearing and the sillage will pull them in. I wouldn’t recommend this for a younger audience because it’s classy and neat rather than playful or casual.

Drydown:
After 10 hours, I could still smell it. The drydown leans more oud and green, transforming into a warmer and smoother smell.

Overall:
This is a very unique fragrance. Not a safe blind buy unless you want something that stands out. It’s strong, the bottle is nice, and at this price you really can’t complain. It smells like a niche fragrance so its definitely not crowd-pleasing or easy to wear but I enjoy it. It’s not offensive, just be aware of its power.

What Creed Aventus used to be
This is exactly how I remember Creed Aventus back when it was still a strong fragrance. I can say right away that this is worth every cent, however there are a couple of things you should know.

The scent clearly takes inspiration from Aventus but pushes it further with peppery and slightly sweet notes. None of these come across as unpleasant or overly cloying in my opinion. That said, this is a heavier fragrance, so overspraying is a real risk. Even if you stop noticing it, people around you definitely will. It is a crowd pleasing scent, but it is not as fresh as the original Creed Aventus but it is also not a clone of the OG. Because of that, I would not really recommend it for someone over 50. It leans sweeter and more attention grabbing but not in a classy or traditionally sophisticated way.

The quality, longevity and sillage are absolutely bombastic here. There is no realistic way to complain about performance. In the end it really comes down to whether you enjoy this scent profile or not. Personally, I find it to be a compliment getter and an easy all-occasion fragrance. This is a no brainer for many people, just be aware that it is very powerful.

Unexpected Combination
Opening:
This parfum actually surprised me right from the opening. It opens fresh rather than heavy or overly sweet as I expected. I immediately pick up lavender and bergamot and this is clearly a crowd pleasing scent. It is hard to imagine anyone disliking it. It never feels too heavy or cloying.

Heart:
Once it settles, the scent becomes denser and slightly sweeter but still not really gourmand since the freshness from the bergamot remains present. The sillage is moderate at best which makes it very office friendly. I get something green and woodsy here, like lavender mixed with woods and a soft sweetness. It feels seductive but not too playful , more suited for someone over the age of 25. I really admire the unexpected balance between freshness and warmth in this one.

Drydown:
On my skin the drydown is mainly musk and patchouli with a small hint of something woodsy ( Oud maybe ? ) Longevity was around six hours which is decent but nothing exceptional. It transitions nicely from a fresh warm opening into a musky woodsy base. I do wish the leather note was more prominent as that would have been a bolder and more interesting choice.

Overall:
This is a classy seductive and office friendly parfum. It is not heavy and while the sillage and longevity are nothing special, it makes up for it by being an easy crowd pleaser. It is very hard to wear this without getting compliments.

Do You Want to Smell Unique ?
“Unique” can be either good or bad , this one definitely isn’t a crowd pleaser, but you will stand out. It’s hard to describe this scent using the listed notes, because to me, it doesn’t really smell like them. So here’s how it comes off to my nose.

To me, this fragrance smells like old wood, bike tires (rubber), something spicy, and somewhere in the background there’s something sweet and buttery like a plum or maybe tonka bean rounding it all up. I personally don’t mind this smell, but I also don’t really want to smell like this.

It’s definitely unique, but I’d rather go with Black Orchid, which gives off a more inviting aura. This one mostly feels like an old wooden shack with scented candles inside. If you want to be perceived as mysterious and unique, this would be a perfect choice , however, it’s worth noting that performance isn’t great.

Sillage isn’t very strong (which is probably a good thing for this type of scent) and longevity on my skin is around 4–5 hours.

In my humble opinion, there are better alternatives out there that deliver similar or even better results, but this one still stands out as unique and well made.

Attention Grabbing Mystery
This is one of those rare fragrances that made me say WOW. It smells mysterious, sexy, and somewhat formal. It’s also the most unisex fragrance I’ve ever tried. They usually lean one way or the other, but this one for both me and my wife , sits perfectly in the middle.I wouldn’t really describe it as gothic or dark, even though it might appear that way. There’s definitely an element of cleanliness to it, making it more mysterious yet inviting in my opinion.

To me, this fragrance smells like bitter orchid mixed with some fruit and vanilla in the background. It’s hard to describe precisely, but it leaves a very special trail behind. I’m genuinely pleased with the sillage and longevity. The sillage isn’t too strong , just enough to be intriguing but it definitely lingers in the air. Longevity is a solid 6–7 hours on my skin and longer on clothes.

If you want a fragrance that will impress both you and your loved one, this is definitely worth it. I can’t really see anyone hating it, except maybe those with very sensitive noses , it can come off a bit spicy or sharp at first for them but in the drydown, it settles beautifully into a smooth vanilla-orchid type of scent.
