A train ride that is fun, a sugar ride that... wait, sugar ride?
So or something like that must have been how my dear fellow travelers (I sincerely apologize) felt when I took the slow train, traveling 11 hours from Austria to Germany... without changing trains... in this current midsummer... a very timely test indeed.
It must have been an experience for both sides, although the more positive one was surely on my end ☺

It should be noted that I had already tested Noir Extreme and rated it very well with an 8.5.
However, after the train ride, I must revise my opinion and ... drumroll... adjust it upwards!
Noir Extreme now receives a 9.5 from me... it doesn't quite reach a reference 10, but my personal top contender also comes from the house of Ford (test to follow for a special occasion, stay tuned)

Actually, I wanted to rely on a slightly more subtle scent that morning before the trip... Allure Homme Eau De Toilette.

I had my quick finger already on the spray head when I heard a "crash" from my fragrance cabinet.
As I cautiously opened the cabinet, Noir Extreme came tumbling out, extremely smooth (no fragrance was harmed in the process, rest assured).
This wink of fate and the fact that winter is still far away and I simply wanted to smell the fragrance again must have led me to choose Noir instead of Allure on my skin.

The starting situation
1. The train ride was, as mentioned above, long... 11 hours
2. One carriage was too few that day
3. Another carriage had to be cleared due to air conditioning failure

The result
The train was overcrowded to the max... Noir and I right in the middle.

This fragrance truly sweetened my train ride in the truest sense of the word!
All the unpleasant odors around me... even from other passengers who were certainly not on Parfumo, were kept at bay by a sweet aura of oriental bliss, with Noir Extreme as my shield.
Noir delivered... and how... for almost 11 hours!

This incredible scent of mandarin and kulfi, with its subtle spiciness, even earned me a really nice compliment after a long time, which I was very happy about!
A conductor (who I really felt sorry for that day, as they usually can't do anything about it) asked if he could "linger" here, as it smelled "damn" good ☺

I haven't gone into the scent itself much, but I still think that all relevant information for a well-rounded picture of my very personal fragrance experience is included.

A call to action:
People should, at least on trains, use more perfume ☺

Summer, Sun, Fig Tree?
I became aware of this fragrance through the nice comment from Helena1411 and bought it blind without a second thought :)

Due to the lack of an "everyday" summer scent (Tom Ford's Mandarino di Amalfi is simply too precious and expensive for everyday use :) , this hint came at just the right time.

Well then, on to the fragrance experience:

For me, the scent can be divided into exactly 3 to 4 components:
The namesake fig, juicy peach, creamy coconut milk, and sensual musk.

Once sprayed on the skin, a delicious, creamy, slightly sweet scent unfolds.
The fig serves as the conductor around which all the other fragrance components are finely arranged; I am particularly surprised by the creamy coconut milk, which I can really perceive well.

Actually, I am not a fan of coconut in fragrances, as this note often comes across as very synthetic and sticky to me, but here it creates a wonderful balance with the fig.
The fig and the coconut share their spot in the sun with a very light peach note that occasionally wafts around my nose... delightful.
The musk keeps everything, as it should, in place.

One more word about the sweetness:
I would categorize the scent as unisex, with a slight tendency towards the feminine side... but never too sweet that men couldn't wear it.
It's simply a beautiful, lightly sweet-smelling summer fragrance that exudes good vibes.

The longevity is perfectly fine, the scent easily lasts 6-7 hours (even longer on clothing)
I would rate the sillage as somewhat weaker, but in my opinion, this doesn't matter much, as the price-performance ratio is simply right. (a little re-spraying won't hurt :) )

Conclusion:
If, like me, you are still looking for a summer scent for 2019, you should definitely give this fragrance a chance. It simply puts me in a good mood and radiates an effortless aura of summery joy of life.

The fragrance doesn't go wrong much (maybe the sillage), but it gets so much right... provided you like fig scents or, like me, are looking for something new.

Nostalgia Glasses? Not Everything Was Happy? JUST USE ME!
Happy was, for me, like for some others, completely forgotten.
I can still vaguely remember, now that I have "rediscovered" it and the memories of it are blossoming again, it was one of my first little fragrances that I could call my own.

If my memory serves me right, I received it as a gift from my sadly already deceased grandma.
That’s why this scent will always hold a special place in my heart
--> The "nostalgia glasses" for a simply beautiful time....without worries; without obligations.
Since I am a "summer child," this would have been a fitting birthday gift from my grandma, as the scent truly unfolds its full potential in high temperatures.
Why my grandma chose this scent, I can no longer answer, it must have been a mix of price-performance and advice on which perfume would suit a teenager :)
From then on, Happy was my loyal companion, whether after football practice (of course without showering, Happy takes care of that) or at school (dosage? Yes, 10 sprays are a must)

And then it was gone ......
erased from memory ....what does it actually smell like? why? how?
To be honest, I can't say anymore, probably because Happy no longer matched my "childlike" self and one wanted to be a "MAN," which is also reflected in the scent.
END Part 1?

No!
Time jump...... about 15 years later, while browsing relevant online perfumeries, I suddenly notice this orange bottle due to an ad on the side, and from the farthest corner of my mind, the memory comes back.... "You know this one?!"
Simply Happy.
Since I was about to order a fragrance anyway, I thought to myself: "Oh, why not, just order it along... it doesn't cost the world"

Said and done:
Of course, as could be expected, when I held the package in my hands, I only had eyes for the other fragrance that I really wanted.... Happy was not happy about this at all and, after a quick sniff at the sprayer, was stored in the back of the fragrance cabinet as "Aha, a citrus scent."
END Part 2?

No, of course not... let’s fast forward a bit.... Summer 2019
It’s the weekend
My beloved and I want to go hiking again..... everything is packed, shoes laced up, just one thing is missing.... a light summer scent.
So I rummage through my fragrance cabinet and who suddenly smiles at me like the sun in its bright orange?
Happy!

If not now, when then.... cap off and on with you on skin and shirt.
"Okay....." I think, "You are quite fresh".....
Synthetic? Yes, but well made..... I like you..... why have I neglected you for so long!
You were the one who was my first "fragrance friend"!

And what can I say:
We were definitely out for 6 hours and Happy did what it always does, back then and today.... it simply highlighted a beautiful moment for me once again.

Be it in the gorges, with small waterfalls or on the alpine meadow with blooming fields..... I always had this light, fresh breeze of mandarin and green nuances in my nose.

Some would say it is monotonous?
Maybe, but what it does, it does well!

Some would say it doesn't last long?
On the T-shirt, it was really noticeable all day and always slightly present!

Too much nostalgia and rose-colored glasses, where's the objectivity?
As mentioned above, it will now again have an honorary place in my heart.
It is certainly not an "over-scent"..... Happy knows that; I know that!

But if a scent manages to convey the same beautiful emotions over the years, then I believe one can simply be Happy!

25 Degrees +? PLEASE NOT!
That's how I felt today when the sprayer of Qasamat Morhaf (QM) slipped from my hand!

I should have been warned about Arabic fragrances, that subtle scent notes might not necessarily be in the bottle, but what could happen? So I applied 4!!! FOUR!!! sprays on my inner elbow and shirt.

BOOM...Explosion...Roses are flying uncontrollably through the apartment...hitting me everywhere.
They just crash in, I am powerless.
But wait...what is this???
Sugar is raining down from the ceiling, piling up...suddenly I am knee-deep in sugar, from which roses are growing.

How do I get all this out of the apartment?

Despair sets in...through the window, I see bright sunshine...the thermometer shows 25 +...
Sweat beads are running down my forehead...my beloved comes in from the next room (is it because of the scent or my gasping? I don't know)

Her eyes widen and she exclaims, "Wow dude, what's going on with you?"....

Okay, now there's no time to lose...

I wade through a sea of roses, it's sticky...
My shirt was ripped off more than unbuttoned and with my last strength, I tossed it into the laundry basket....the door is closed...it's getting better.

Summary:
It may sound like it, but it's not a bad review :)

I only made 2 fundamental mistakes:

1. Overdosage
2. The wrong season

The scent itself I really like, but it is definitely (at least on my male skin) meant for winter and should be applied sparingly.
It is, as noted, room-filling.

Upon closer inspection, I also perceive other scent notes that only develop later.

There will also be a follow-up test in winter.
I firmly believe that the scent will perform better then!

At least I'm wiser now :)

The Hat is on Fire or How Affordable Great Scents Can Be!
I bought the fragrance about 2 weeks ago blind, as I was looking for something "niche" at a low price.

I opened the package with great anticipation and first admired the truly wonderful, wooden outer packaging. The bottle itself is, in my opinion, also very beautifully designed and already gives a hint of the scent it encloses.

So I did it and sprayed a puff on my wrist....WOW....right on the mark...
I hear my inner voice warning: "It will be difficult to integrate this scent into everyday life";
even though I personally like it right away.

So I first tested the scent at home and presented it to my beloved.
Her exact words: "It smells really good, so masculine, but also gentle, lovely, flattering, I can understand if someone doesn't like the scent. It's a statement! PERIOD!

Okay, so it's not a total disaster for my environment, I think.

Through Oud Wood, I got a taste for oud fragrances, although this one, compared to Dhanal Oudh Nashwah (DON), seems more like the dear little sister who watches the blazing spectacle from a safe distance at the Easter bonfire.

DON points out to the guy who can't stand close enough to the fire and thinks, "What can a little fire do?"..."unfortunately" or "thank God?" this guy forgets that a spark, on the wrong surface, can ignite a wildfire of biblical proportions. (and as strange as it sounds, this is meant positively)
(Note from the fragrance wearer: The guy is me, the spark is (DON), the surface is the office :) )

What I mean is:
Two weeks later, I gathered the courage and unleashed the fragrance on my environment.
And what can I say: I've never received so much feedback on a perfume, and almost all of it was positive
(mixed, whether male or female, although I must say that my female colleagues liked this scent a bit more than the men)
The magic word here is: "Dosage"! ....2 sprays are more than enough, and this scent is also well wearable in hot weather and at the office.

So how is the scent:
The scent starts like a fully loaded incense burner, filled with oud and other woods that are almost burnt.
However, this smoke is not a sharp, biting representative, but is directly accompanied by a pleasant sweetness coming from honey. The honey is by no means sticky and too sweet, but holds the woods together. So to speak, a very light wood glue that keeps everything together.

There are also very slightly herbal notes, (definitely juniper, unfortunately I don't know the smell of immortelle)
that perfectly round off the scent.

After about 2 hours, the scent becomes softer and rounder on me.
This is for me the most beautiful part of the scent development.
The woods, the honey.....everything is soft, rounded, never sharp.
For me, a dream.

Longevity and sillage:
Definitely above average, so during the day, one should dose sparingly, especially if one is not working alone, for example, as an archivist :)

I should also mention that I am curious how the scent changes in winter or how it performs on a summer evening when going out.
For me, the scent is truly a hidden gem, but it requires a portion of courage from its wearer.
I can also say that the scent is by no means for everyone, but at this price, everyone should try it at least once if they want to try something different.

Clearly unisex, although it also depends on the type of man and woman.
For someone who is introverted and cannot handle remarks of any kind, this scent should be approached with caution.
