Why did you have to leave?
Already in my childhood I was allowed to enjoy Yves Rocher fragrances, there were regularly co-ordered minis or even complete bottles from Aztek, Tel Quel, Antartic or Trimaran in the bathroom, in my youth fragrances like Samarkande, Nature Millesime and finally Eryo were added
The last fragrance worth mentioning is Hoggar (2005).
That's where the success story of YR stops with me, because everything that came after that can be safely forgotten

I can still remember the scenario when he appeared. I was still living with my mother at the time and Yves Rocher brochures were always fluttering in by mail. When Eryo was advertised, I thought, "Sounds interesting." So an Edt+deodorant was bought in the set and I was not disappointed.

Eryo starts with a fresh bergamot-mint note, followed by something herbaceous and finally the base, here the vanilla takes over the sweet main part and the patchouli counteracts the sweet one

All in all, Eryo is (nowadays) one of the most perfect fragrances I know. You can wear it in any situation, it gives a masculine freshness and you will never bother anyone with this fragrance. In addition to that it stays with 2-3 strong sprayers for some time, and despite all the price differences to designer scents, it still looks quite natural.

When it comes to fragrances, I sometimes wish I could have never done anything with them. So many losses I have had to cope with, in addition to the many disappointments nowadays and always this looking for a bottle without falling into poverty... I think many of us know this :-)

The shelf life is about 8-10h and the sillage is very strong in the beginning, even if it decreases noticeably after half an hour, but eryo is still one of those fragrances that does not change extremely in its scent impression, but the head and heart note slowly diminish and the scent merges fluently into the base, i often don't have this feeling anymore with newer fragrances, so it often seems to me as if the top note is "tuned" to cover the window cleaning water in the background and thus boost sales (Sauvage, BdC, Eros etc.).)

I was recently able to get hold of a half-full 100ml vintage bottle and was literally flashed by its quality
It's a mystery to me why something like this is no longer possible today... Too expensive?

Mugler typical scent from another star.
I just have to get rid of it, I can't help it :-)
Mugler Aura is one of the most ingenious fragrances I ever got under my nose.
Already when spraying on, Aura snakes like the green mamba into the sinuses and promises its wearer something special, so its name is not by chance!

The first time I sprayed aura on my skin, I felt like I was transported to another world...Pandora or something...
What I want to say is that when I look at Avatar, I imagine that its female inhabitants are wearing this fragrance.
Aura is so extraordinary that it is difficult for me to name individual fragrance components
Even when I look at the pyramid of fragrances I am left with only a question mark, actually there could be something there, Aura is perfect in its overall composition, I think that is what the many perfumers involved wanted to achieve

Unfortunately I am alone with this euphoria, because my wife (and many other women) cannot do anything with the fragrance, and there I come again to my statement below; Aura is a fragrance that women can do less with than men, or a fragrance that you would wish for a woman if she would like it...

All right, then I want to start my objective scent impression:

Sugary-sweet, green-fruity it starts at Aura, the level has been turned to stop! (something that I miss in the meantime with the Mugler men's fragrances)
Eau de Parfum lives up to its name here.
There is always talk of chewing gum, or rather chewing gum sweetness, and yes, I don't want to deny that, He already has a strict sweetness, which I like very much, because this sweetness is not clumsy like in any drugstore fragrance, but gives the overall concept what it needs for the heart of the fragrance, otherwise the fragrance would slip through the woody into the astringency and we would quickly find ourselves in the category "unisex".

This woody note that I perceive must therefore come from the Wolfwood (whatever that may be), as well as from the Tiger Liana plant, also here only a shrug of the shoulders...
The rhubarb leaf is also an ingredient in the fragrance, which mixes with the other "fragrances" and probably contributes its part to it.
Only the orange blossom and vanilla I can identify as the creamy part in the base of the fragrance.
So this would be the end of the fragrance, because that's how it gradually fades away, sweet, woody, creamy.
But it will be several hours before that happens! As mentioned above, the durability is, compared to today's men's fragrances from the house of Mugler, unearthly! I can only say: Nothing for wallflowers or grey mice. Aura wraps you up, Aura wants to be with you and everyone who comes close to you is not spared from your green poison!

Confusing name
At least because no tobacco is listed in the fragrance pyramid.
Nevertheless Rasasi knows to produce a smell with Tobacco Blaze which comes across relatively dark and dry and reminds a little bit of tobacco.
The fragrance opens with a very citrusy and fresh neroli, and is also accompanied by another fruity note, probably apricot.

The magic of the top note doesn't last too long and other notes are quickly added, which take out the freshness more and more, so that the impression of the fragrance changes and one can already perceive clearly earthy patchouli, as well as sparingly used leather and of course oud in the foreground. At times it reminds me of the Ambergris Showers, but this one is the how shall I say? "derbste" of the series.
Where La Yuqawam is most accessible due to its reputation with other fragrances of this genre, the nose is already more demanding in Tobacco Blaze. Here above all earthy patchouli, woody amber and the oud play the leading role, here one can speak at best of attenuations of coumarin and apricot, which still bring in a light sweetness. The opening of the fragrance is of course the bang, and thus TB moves directly to place 2 of the La Yuqawam series, Ambergris Showers is the last one. Unfortunately both of them don't quite come close to the original

All three scents have a very good radiation, but I have the feeling that Tobacco Blaze, as well as Ambergris Showers lose their sillage after a short time and change to a relatively strong skin scent, unlike the original LY, which you can still clearly perceive after hours, although there are rumours of reformulations :-(.

Conclusion:
A well made Oriental that offers niche quality at a lower price and has also been made accessible to Westerners. In a blind test you would probably think of Tom Ford and co.
The light note of apricot runs through the entire fragrance and gives it a slightly sweet note. I probably wouldn't buy it, but I'm quite happy to have received a surprisingly wise bottling. My special thanks for this to SchnüFFleRR!

Reference Moss
Oops, no comment on quorum yet? I'm almost embarrassed
Well, as my headline suggests, quorum is the moss scent par excellence. The top note starts off with a lot of citric notes, according to its vintage, here the sour grapefruit is just as good to smell as the lemon, but that evaporates within seconds and the cumin spreads, damn broad even! Because this one is leading the Quorum in the first half hour.
What then announces itself is moss, moss and again moss in all facets. In the beginning spicy and still associated with cumin, which changes in the further course of the fragrance, when the cumin slowly flattens and in the drydown the incense becomes more and more present.

Moreover, Quorum is a dust-dry fellow who at most gets a grin on his face when someone jumps off a cliff.
Tobacco and leather blend well with the moss, incense, cumin trio and give the fragrance a good radiance.
In my opinion, a fragrance that should have been in the 70's because of its dry and spicy nature.

By the way: I have a bottle from 2015, but I used to have the first generation's unreformulated version. Quorum is one of the few fragrances where I like the reformulation better! My recommendation therefore, buy! No matter from which batch. Quorum is certainly still in the same good condition until today!

The shelf life of Quorum is slightly higher than typical for Puig, but not longer than 5 hours. For the price there is nothing to complain about. I would have liked a cologne version in a bottle!

Rainy Sunday to spray on
Who does not know, Saturday the most beautiful weather. Going for a walk, barbecue, drinking a beer with friends, sitting in the sun...
In the evening it becomes windy, rain announces itself, the next morning wet windows, clouds grey in grey, the wind continues to blow strongly and the rain drizzles away. For all the beautiful things that yesterday brought, you have to pay today. Everybody stays at home, nothing is planned and the skull is still buzzing because we didn't stay for a beer :-)
So it is a good idea to rummage out some old scents and after some time to revive the scent impressions.

Tendenza really begins fruity and at first still promising, a bright, clear top note makes a solid impression at first and something like joy comes up for a short moment.
From the heart note on, when the fruity one slowly disappears, the fragrance becomes as described above, the drydown turns into a mega boring little water, which seems to underline such a Sunday olfactory. A dull vanilla note in the background, here a sweet little flower and there a piece of wood
Not only does it smell like the 1000000th Le Male copy, no, at that time I already had a fragrance that smelled the same 1:1, namely Maa arwaak by Rasasi. Also this scent seemed to me to be boring like fallen asleep feet. So I thought it was a pity that Van Gils, whose portfolio is quite small anyway, is putting such a boring scent on the market.

Nevertheless, Tendenza is good to wear on such a day, as it also has something soothing about it. It's too weak for everyday use, and not recommended for the office either, unless you want to take a nap on the keyboard.

Conclusion: A quite well made fragrance. Cinnamon, apple, lavender, vetiver, lily of the valley and musk are the most likely to be scented, but it gets very close to the skin very quickly and at least for me it doesn't offer a wow effect.
