Pretty and masculine
I used Eryo by Yves Rocher about a dozen years ago, but around 2011 the perfume was discontinued and my adventure with it ended. However, the memory of this scent remains very well in my mind. Not only because I used them a lot in the first decade of the 2000s, but also because of their very variable nature. Eryo is characterized by great variability from the opening notes to the base notes. It was a chameleon fragrance and it evolved a lot during its development.
It started with fresh, crisp and sparkling citrus fruits and mint, then went through a herbal phase thanks to the large amount of rosemary in the middle part. Then it completely transformed into a warm, vanilla and spicy scent with plenty of spicy notes. It was never excessively sweet, it was well-balanced, soft and cozy, with a hint of romance.
A fresh start, a herbal middle and a warm, balsamic and spicy finish.
I remember that it also had quite good parameters. The scent was really surprisingly good and interesting, it had a very characteristic, slightly dreamy atmosphere of perfumes from the late 90s and the beginning of the new century. It had a Chanel Allure feel to it. Maybe it wasn't the pinnacle of Yves Rocher's perfume world, but it was certainly one that left me a little sad that it was no longer available.
Surprisingly, you can sometimes buy it on the secondary market for a not too high price, but that's probably because even among customers, Yves Rocher was never particularly popular. However, I am still hesitant to buy it again, only because of the changes in the quality of the scent and the time and method of storage
