Children's Shampoo?
Now I have a perfume in my hands for the first time that I can't relate to,
but it's also the first one that I didn't buy for myself, but received as a gift...
Well, I do receive perfumes as gifts from time to time, but under specific guidelines or from people who know what I wear...
As I said, the first impression is children's shampoo, one for long-haired girls, fruity, sweet, cheerful, for the Hello Kitty girls.

Maybe the rhubarb is throwing me off, since I don't particularly like fruity scents anyway; it smells unnatural, not as sour as rhubarb usually does.
Datura, rose, tuberose, are for me sensual and erotic, but I can't really recognize that here,
it's playful, frilly, girlish - more of a feel-good scent than a seducer...
Maybe I'm just too old for this?

Only after hours, the sillage is huge, and the longevity is hardly unbeatable, when the playful chaos has calmed down,
and the soft patchouli and gentle sandalwood have taken over,
this scent lingers for hours, caressingly soft, cuddly, and quite
grown-up, and then I have indeed succumbed to its charm
and then it fits me too...

Goddess - but which one?
Goddesses are as numerous as grains of sand on the beach,
every culture, every era, every religion has one or more of them.
Nowadays, one can earn the "title" of goddess quite quickly; a "social media goddess"
is not particularly complex, just being a bit creepy usually suffices (see Kardashian,
Hilton, ...)
In the glorious years of "Good old Hollywood," it took a special presence on screen to be called a goddess (Liz Taylor, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe...)
Before the Christianization of the West, there was an abundance of goddesses; almost every village had its own, which eventually transformed into the Virgin Mary.
But before that, in the will of the goddess, what goddesses were there: Venus, Hera, Isis, Gaia, Medusa, Freya,
Maya, Shakti, Kuan Yin, Erzulie ...
there were goddesses for love, for marriage (interesting that those for love and marriage were not the same ;-) )
motherhood, eroticism, money, household, blessings of children, health, wealth, etc...
and they all smelled the same???
All alike? Please, certainly not! And then what?
Who is this goddess now? Or what defines a goddess?
Well, a goddess is undoubtedly female, but this scent is definitely not; any man can wear it, okay, we won't get any further with this approach ...
The ingredients don't bring us any closer either: oud, sandalwood, jasmine, rose, osmanthus,
wonderful components - but do they equal goddesses?
Most goddess legends on this earth deal with the creation of life or the creation of a culture, the creation of a life plan.
In the beginning was ...
...and that's exactly where this scent picks me up, at the beginning!
At the beginning, immediately after the drop touches my skin, it gives me a sting,
almost a kick, not painful but encouragingly demanding, like the slap on the bottom of a newborn: GO NOW! BREATHE! FINALLY START!
This is the archaic oud that takes your breath away at first, but not unpleasantly, rather like holding your breath in special moments in life because it is so uncultivated, so primal ...
and a moment later, jasmine arrives, soft and motherly, it presses me to itself and says: Shh, everything is fine, you did well, keep going...
and then the roses bloom, the color, life in all its splendor, the abundance and richness of osmanthus pours into the form you have chosen to be, and the sandalwood elevates the created work, crowns it with almost sacred grace, makes it holy!
Yes, this is how I can recognize the goddess in this scent - in you - in me - in the man - in the woman
in every being. You are what you create - the creator of your life!
So be it!

Goddess is intense and lush; on my skin, I can still smell it after 8-10 hours;
the bottle is typically lush, angular, practical, good
what's the use of beauty, it’s the content that matters, vegan, cruelty-free,
except for the alcohol, a natural perfume
definitely worth a try; with the same scent, there are soap, bath bombs, washing cards,
also available as solid perfume.

Korean Drama
Sometimes scents take strange, winding paths, and getting to know them can be quite peculiar.
For whatever reason, this classic from Bodyshop remained unknown for over 20 years and would have continued to do so if, yes if my teenage daughter hadn't developed her fondness for
Korean pop music and Korean dramas.
I am a good, empathetic, and interested mother in the world of my children, but this
"Korea bird" was initially very exhausting for me, and so I tried to ignore it as much as possible, hoping it would, like many other preferences and infatuations of my daughter,
pass quickly. We bought countless Korean things, from sweets to cosmetics, mangas, bubble tea, and strange gadgets ...
And one day she came to me completely flustered, saying she needed a very special perfume that played a key role in her Korean drama.
A series about mysticism, love, and the suffering of young Korean women, Goblin, was the title of the piece, and in it, the main character is gifted White Musk by Bodyshop...
As a good mother should, on the next shopping day, I visited a Bodyshop with my daughter
and asked about the scent.
My daughter beamed at the sight of the perfume and murmured something about "...so romantic,"
and when the saleswoman sprayed the scent on my forearm, I was completely smitten.
"So romantic," I murmured blissfully to myself.
Pure, finest, cuddly soft powdery musk, silky smooth, not animalistic, beautiful...
It was love at first sniff, well what else can I tell you,
since then I've been sitting side by side with my daughter on the couch, munching on Korean sweets, smelling of White Musk, and watching Korean dramas ...

Journey into the Past
When I first came into contact with Believe, I was very skeptical,
I don't particularly like these "star scents."
However, I was immediately struck by the pretty diamond-shaped bottle. I like it!
And then... the first whiff on my forearm and I was smitten.
It instantly beamed me back to my teenage years, which was quite some time ago.
I sprayed more and searched in my scent memory cells for where I knew this fragrance from,
it felt so familiar, fitting like a comfortable pair of jeans that you don't want to take off.
Where did I know this scent from? And suddenly it was there: "Limara," the echo of a distant fragrance... *singing* the jingle has apparently burned itself into my brain, just like this scent.
Green Summer was the version I particularly loved.
Limara won't mean anything to the younger ones among you; it was a really cheap fragrance spray (I think it was even sold as deodorant) and we girls doused ourselves with it until we almost got high.
And Believe is the resurrection of this scent, starting off a bit fresh and citrusy, then comes something like green apple, which isn't listed, perhaps my nose is mistaken and confuses guava with the apple note and honeysuckle (oh how I love that)
then comes very feminine and powdery this fine amber note and finally my beloved patchouli;
that makes the scent really round and contradictory.
A beautiful summery fragrance and lovely memories; as if time had been bottled up.
The sillage is quite decent and the soft green harmonious composition lasts on my skin for 6-8 hours, the scent is probably composed for young romantic girls, but even over 50, I sometimes like to lay in this scent cloud and let it carry me away.
The fragrance is very affordable and truly worth a try.

The Forest Goddess
You must venture into the wildness of the deep forests
to encounter HER. She does not come into the coziness of your living room and is probably not found in the city park.
She is nature itself and embodies all aspects of nature, which are as nurturing and kind as they are wild, impenetrable, and dangerous. Women who long for more freedom, independence, determination, energy, vitality, and courage will surely benefit from this scent.
Féminité du Bois begins with spices and sweet white flowers, which quickly blend with a powdery woody note that remains the heart of this fragrance.
On my skin, this sweet woody oriental scent lasts for a long time, and then slowly transforms into a vanilla cuddly musk note.
