Those who know me know well that I really enjoy discovering particular, well-made artistic perfumes by small artisans. And this is one of those cases.
It should be noted that the perfumer in question is a truly special person and you can feel that behind his work there was a careful study of the raw materials.
In this case I chose Kosalam as my first purchase.
It is a perfume with many facets.
Citrus part with orange, lemon and bergamot which give an initial hit of freshness to the fragrance.
In our hearts we have all the elegance of flowers. I perceive the tuberose and frangipani which give a touch of sweetness, but the fragrance always remains with its touch of freshness which in this case is given by the rose and geranium.
At the bottom I feel something deep, earthy, musky. Oud, myrrh incense and animalic notes of castoreum and civet give depth and sensuality to the fragrance.
A very particular perfume to be discovered and appreciated over time because it is very complex.

This was my first ever, niche perfume that I purchased. I waited a long time for it because it wasn’t available and I didn’t buy any perfume before that moment. As an ignorant person on the subject, I loved it straight away and it was very strange and I was amazed that my nose immediately appreciated the animal scents or the perfume itself. This is a perfume you must have in your collection. Some would say that it doesn’t suit a woman at all. Animalic, floral, smoky. Aldehydes, tuberose, woods, tobacco... I think this is one of Prin’s most beautiful perfumes and one you can’t do without.

I am on a beach, I have a rose in one hand and in another a shell attached to my ear from which I perceive a sweet sound of the sea... this is one of my favorite roses, fresh, citrusy, smoky. A perfume you never stop smelling. Not the usual rose and Oud that we hear everywhere now. This fragrance is so well made that it is difficult to find another that comes close. I love January’s scents. John always managed to amaze me. Anyone who hasn’t tried at least one of his perfumes absolutely must do so.

Do you want a perfume that warms your heart? Here this is one of those. In its simplicity it manages to give you a sense of warmth, of what you want to have on a winter day. Near a fireplace, blanket, a piece of chocolate in hand and a cup of vanilla herbal tea sweetened with honey. This is how I see this fragrance: a powerful opening given by ambergris, in the middle cocoa, vanilla, tonka and at the end an amber part, Oud and labdanum.

My second Jinx perfume, purchased in limited edition on Patreon. Happy to have had a bottle. it is a sparkling, citrusy perfume. I immediately perceive citric notes, the cardamom which I adore. These notes stay for quite some time without fading away right away like the usual citric notes. After having the Rose above all and the frankincense which persists for the entire duration of the fragrance. It’s a nice, jaunty perfume, very easy to wear, even on hot days because it’s very light. Certainly unisex.
