Due to the good reviews and my curiosity, I got a sample of Side Effect. I really like all the whites from the Hedonist collection; otherwise, I don't know any from Initio, as I'm a true Pdm fan. I sprayed the fragrance and I only smell smoky dark leather, even though leather is not listed. I have given it 5 chances and by now I can also detect other notes, but I can't define them. I don't smell anything sweet at all. The fragrance doesn't develop on my skin the way it should. It simply leaves me cold; I feel neither negative nor positive about it. I have the same problem with Falcon Leather and Air Tiger. After a 3-4 week break, I gave the fragrance another chance and I was amazed. By now, I perceive the fragrance differently. I can now smell the rum, vanilla, and saffron; I don't notice the smoky leather at all anymore. The fragrance gives me a similar vibe to the Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special, just without the passion fruit that makes the difference, which is why I prefer the Xerjoff much more. Side Effect is not bad, but it is not a candidate for purchase for me.
