Tobacco leather or leathery tobacco?
I recently added this fragrance to my collection.
Wow, the first sniff surprised me.

Let's start from the beginning - the outside:
The packaging looks valuable.
A cocoa-brown box, which is protected by a cream-colored cover printed with a beautiful motif in roughly the same brown.

Inside the box is the bottle, softly embedded in velvet, as with other Afnan fragrances.
This bottle sits comfortably in the hand, I find it easy to grip and less slippery thanks to the side elements.
The lid is held on the bottle magnetically.
For me, the spray head is easy to use and nebulizes the perfume quite well.

The fragrance:
First of all, after spraying it on, a leather bomb comes to the fore, even though leather does not appear in the fragrance pyramid at all.
That was the surprise, but not a bad one.
It is almost a tart leather, the "Guilty Absolute pour Homme | Gucci" seems more fruity in comparison, and also a little sweeter at first.
At the beginning, the fragrance also seems a little more synthetic to me.
However, the synthetic aftertaste disappears relatively quickly.

Over time, the leather recedes and the other notes come to the fore.
It remains spicy, but also becomes sweeter and softer, the tobacco becomes more present.

A little later, it becomes almost cozy.
The leather still plays gently in the background, the tobacco and the spice nestle up close with a little sweetness.
Even at this stage, the sweetness is not overwhelming.
A hint of tartness always remains present in the tobacco and spice, which makes the fragrance interesting for me even then.

I can still clearly detect the fragrance on my skin when I sniff it myself after four hours.
I also rate the sillage as good.
The initial synthetics fade quickly, after which the fragrance also radiates its other components well, and then withdraws to close to the body after a few hours.
