Creamy mild campfire
About the new fragrance Kai Porten "Beach Club":
I was one of the pre-order customers because the fragrance made me really curious. The name Beach Club, tropical fruits, campfire, banana, Big Red chewing gum, etc. You've heard and read all that.
Now the fragrance has arrived and I've had time to test it extensively. I am firmly convinced that it is not enough, especially in the niche sector, to spray the fragrance on a tester and then evaluate it a few minutes later. You have to test a fragrance in different situations, temperatures and occasions to be able to form a good judgment. But now to the fragrance:
What you get here is niche. Insanely unique, I've never smelled anything like it before. After the first spray, I thought at first that it might be too strong for me, too harsh and edgy, too extreme. For a moment, the thought of "selling it on" popped into my head. But then after a few minutes, the fragrance develops into a true poem, so beautiful. So graceful.
It becomes mild, I start to dream. If the fragrance were a song, it would give me goosebumps. I've only ever had that with Alexandria 2 by Xerjoff. Campfire vibes come to mind, but not the burning in the eye, not the harsh smoke, but the beautiful mildness, plus an undertone of vanilla and bananas. Really beautiful.
Longevity is great, not like an Oud31 but on clothes it is still very noticeable for a few days. The birch tar does its job.
I have to say I'm a big fan of campfires, they give me a sense of security and warmth and I feel the same with this fragrance. I now wear the fragrance just to feel good. But make up your own mind and give the fragrance time to develop. It's worth it.
A very successful fragrance for me. Half a point deduction because the beginning is a bit difficult and I can imagine that for many users there are few situations to wear such a fragrance. For me personally a brilliant release.
