The real journey to India
Attracted by the promising name and the high rating at Parfumo, I had bought Voyage en Inde by Rituals some time ago and was bitterly disappointed, because the fragrance didn't offer me anything Indian, Oriental, exotic or spicy that I had expected and expected from it.
(Self-inflicted, blind purchase risk; quickly found a new owner again.)

When I then read in the comments on Musc of incense sticks, hippies and India shops, all experiences were forgotten and he was ordered, although the name suggested a completely different scent.
And this time the blind buy hit the mark

I am greeted by a dense, complex note that actually smells of the occasional Third World shop I visit, and includes a dash of sticky cough syrup that I was administered several times in childhood and has been stored forever in my olfactory memory.
The cough syrup association disappears with time, but the incense aroma gains weight.
Musc is spicy, balsamic, only slightly sweet, discreetly smoky and if the quite violent top note has warped a little, quite socially acceptable.

Bollywood and hippie commune balance each other here and in my mind I put on the silk crinkler skirt I haven't worn for ages, slip into my beloved toe slippers and stroll through the palm-lined streets of Arambol.
This is it, the olfactory journey to India!

By the way, I don't find musk here at all, not even in the base, which is interspersed with a fine spice until the end.

At this point, once again many thanks to you perfumers, who described this fragrance in your statements so aptly and thereby drew my attention to it.

A chemistry of love
Beautiful Belle Love could be a love story translated into fragrance.

In the beginning, as if struck by lightning, an eccentric rose bounces, tending slightly in the gourmand and fruity direction through almond, vanilla and orange blossom honey, to more down-to-earth things like patch and amber

I find this start quite stormy and loud, the parties have yet to find their way to each other, fighting passionately for their position. I look at it with due distance and I am not really there yet, I miss the harmony between the protagonists. Maybe it's the almond (I think of Amaretto) or patchouli that stings my nose a bit and disturbs the overall impression, but you notice, it's not a quiet fragrance.

As characters grind together in the course of time, the contrasts find a common basis after some time, the impression becomes creamier, softer, more pleasant, and at the end of the fragrance the always gladly smelled vanilla-amber-musk breeze caresses me.

Beautiful Belle Love is not really mine. I'd rather see the scent on a younger, slightly exalted person. Durability and sillage are good to very good. I am curious how long this creation will last on the market.

I dreamed about you
The last days I surrounded myself with rather heavy, warm scents, especially since it had become quite cool again.
Last night After My Own Heart suddenly appeared in my dreams and was still present when I woke up. I dream a lot and vividly, but very rarely about perfume and took it as a hint from my subconscious to wear this fragrance today, which I had not used for a long time.

I am always surprised by the green-tangy opening because I associate with the fragrance the note that follows it and that is a beautiful, powdery, light lilac with a touch of creamy. This actually delicate smell is still so present that my car was completely filled with it this morning after the necessary shopping. The small moment of happiness when getting into the car scared away the oppressive feeling that regularly afflicts me during this strange time because of distance control and compulsory masks. On the drive home I pondered about the fact that I probably needed exactly this scent today, just as one sometimes suddenly has an appetite for sour or bitter foods, and that the body is often much smarter than what we call mind.

After everything necessary was done and the weather today was spring-like friendly again, I took a long walk in the afternoon. After My Own Heart had in the meantime become a light touch of lilac musk, which melted in the shady coolness of the forest with the scent of freshly cut wood and was refreshed with a small sprayer when I returned home, which now accompanies me into the evening in a lilac-blossom creamy way. My subconscious could not have chosen a more suitable scent.

Hansdampf in allen Gassen
I daresay there's a treasure hunter in all of us. We test ourselves tirelessly through the inexhaustible supply of scents in the hope of discovering the Holy Grail in the next bottle.

Most of the time the result of the search is rather "well", but sometimes lightning strikes and you know for sure that you are holding something precious in your hands, regardless of the price tag.
That's how I feel about Smoked Oud, which doesn't live up to its name in my case, but that's what makes me happy.

It starts with a full, liqueur-like rose, which is underlaid with a fine juniper berry spice.
At this point he could be the perfect child of a stormy romance between Calligraphy Rose and Journey Man.
Gently a tobacco aroma is added, which sometimes changes into the resinous and sometimes into a slightly smoky direction.
With increasing maturity, the fragrance develops balsamic, almost creamy to a warm amber-tonka base.
Rose I can recognize the whole course of events, she plays the secret leading role. Oud, on the other hand, is completely lost for me and that's a good thing

The intensity is very pleasant for me. I perceive the fragrance for a long time, but only like a delicate veil and not strong as one might assume from the name. I also find the slight sweetness absolutely flattering and would definitely classify Smoked Oud as unisex, even though it appears very masculine in its leather coat and heavy bottle.

By the way, it does not only appear high-quality, but is also characterized by a pleasant, non-slip surface feel and above all a tight-fitting cap.
All in all, a round package and also very attractively priced.
Highest score of mine.

He must have loved her very much
This perfume really shows the effort and care, the time and love invested in its development.

The dense olfactory network is very mature, deep, perfectly balanced between flowers and fruit. It rests on a base that sometimes gives me soft mossy green, sometimes earthy brown patchouli. On top of that the rich scent melange, which my nose is not able to split up into its individual parts.
Neither sweet nor tart, its character is quite unique, and as it effortlessly combines such opposites as the "proud rose" and the "modest violet", the esprit of pepper and the anaesthetic effect of nutmeg, it is easy to assume that certain human qualities of the name patron saint have been fluidly interpreted.

And strong it is, the perfume of Thérèse, accompanies me for many hours and must be chosen with care so as not to overtax myself and my environment.
I can't remember ever having smelled anything that somehow resembles this fragrance and it has absolute recognition value for me.
I like it very much, this vial-filled monument that Edmond Roudnitska erected to his wife, a Taj Mahal of the perfume world...
