Swing it to the left, swing it to the right
Private Show, a new perfume by Britney Spears, was released a few weeks ago in collaboration with Elizabeth Arden and is named after a song from her new album, which will be released on August 26, 2016. According to Britney, the inspiration for Private Show was the feeling she has before a performance.

Private Show smells quite alcoholic right from the first spray on my skin. However, this fades within seconds and transforms into an orangey mix of nectarines, clementines, and orange blossom. I perceive the orange blossom the strongest. At first, I am not so sure if I like this orangey scent.
When I spray Private Show on a test strip, I initially notice the coffee more than the nectarines and clementines, but on my skin, these come out more.

The fruits together briefly remind me of the scent of an orange toilet spray. This fades quickly, but it is still somewhat unpleasant.

The clementine lasts quite a long time and remains in the foreground for me. After half an hour to an hour, the coffee joins in. I love coffee and also really like the smell of coffee. The coffee here is best compared to a very sweet iced coffee from Emmi.

In the heart note, a pleasant, sweet note is added. I had to Google Dulce de leche because I didn't know what it was; it is a spread common in Latin America made from milk, sugar, and vanilla. Per 100 grams, Dulce de leche contains a whopping 50 grams of sugar, so it's quite a calorie bomb and pretty bad for the teeth. Nevertheless, the sweetness here is not like, for example, in Fantasy by Britney Spears, but more restrained and somehow more mature.

Private Show lasts on me for about 4-5 hours. The sillage is quite broad for the first half hour to hour, but then quickly diminishes. You can smell Private Show about 30 cm in all directions. The perfume is not particularly heavy, but also not light. I think it can be worn on milder summer days or evenings, as well as in autumn and winter or spring. I wouldn't recommend it for hot summer days, that would probably be too much. Or you wear it before a Private Show ;)

The bottle resembles a diamond; I find it quite pretty and am also happy that she is finally releasing a new line. I would have wished for the coffee note to be more intense on my skin; apart from that, I really like Private Show, but it will not become a favorite of mine.

Black Star, Black Staaar
Black Star by Avril Lavigne was my first perfume that I bought for myself and back then (2009-2011) I wore it almost daily.

I remember a date with a guy who looked just like Josh Hartnett. I was very nervous beforehand and accidentally sprayed a load into my eye. It burned like hell, turned red, and during the date, I had to keep my eye closed for about half an hour. Unfortunately, Josh didn’t find that funny and we never saw each other again. The paths between me and Black Star have also diverged over time, so I didn’t even notice that Avril Lavigne's perfumes are no longer being sold.

I have now gotten a bottle from the internet. I remembered it being a bit sweeter than it actually is. I find it starts off zesty with mango and pear, then becomes weaker and creamier. After 2-3 hours, the scent is also gone, which I find very disappointing.

Unfortunately, I must be allergic to something in the perfume by now. A few minutes after spraying, I get small, itchy, red spots; only washing it off brings relief....

Unfortunately not for me
I made it a point to engage intensively with a fragrance before writing a comment about it here. Over the last few days, I have been deeply involved with Maui Fantasy by Britney Spears.

Maui Fantasy was released in spring 2016. The inspiration for this fragrance was - according to Britney - her love for Maui, her favorite island in Hawaii. Maui is also the second largest island in Hawaii. The scent is meant to evoke memories of vacation. The bottle is inspired by the natural beauty of Hawaii; the light blue color is supposed to represent the ocean, and the floral design stands for the hibiscus flower that grows on the island.

The design is indeed somewhat different from the other Fantasys. The packaging features cut-out flowers, and the small crystals on the bottle itself are missing here; instead, a hibiscus is printed on it. The bottle neck is kept in white. Personally, I don't find the bottle very beautiful.

When you first spray Maui Fantasy on a test strip, you immediately smell the passion fruit; I also detect the orange blossom more strongly than the other notes, but I find the coconut stands out the most. And that from the very beginning. I was slightly surprised that the coconut is actually in the base and not in the top notes. The scent does not develop particularly well on the test strip. The passion fruit and grapefruit pair together, becoming a bit quieter over time and making way for the floral notes. The coconut always lingers, but it also becomes quieter.

I found the scent beautiful, so I immediately got 2 bottles because they were on sale. At home, I then tried the scent on myself, and unfortunately, the result was disappointing.
Right from the start, the strong sweetness combined with coconut and monoi almost overwhelms me. The coconut here is a really unpleasant, quite sweet, and intrusive coconut. On my skin, the sweetness does not fade; I cannot perceive the flowers. After about half an hour, the coconut (or the monoi, I honestly don't know) becomes so extremely strong that I really feel nauseous. The scent really hits me in the stomach, and I had to wash it off. Even after washing it off, I feel like the scent clings to me with all its sticky sweetness.

I tried the perfume on several days, on warmer and cooler days, in the morning and evening, and always got the same result. Sometimes more intense, sometimes less. I think this might have to do with my skin chemistry, which is why the scent develops so terribly on me; on the test strip, it was nice, and I also like the scent on towels, etc. Unfortunately, not on me, which I find very unfortunate.

Regardless of that, I still can't imagine wearing the scent on hot days (at the beach); it's just too intrusive, too sweet, too heavy.

Issey Miyake
L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake was my mother's favorite fragrance. I can't even count how many Mother's Day, birthday, or Christmas gifts I have given in the form of this little bottle.

It is therefore quite difficult for me to evaluate the scent objectively. To me, it smells very pleasantly light. It has something very feminine, floral, and somehow pure about it. It stays nicely in the background.
I read up on the fragrance here and was somewhat surprised that it doesn't always receive good reviews. However, I might see that differently from another perspective.

The scent means a lot to me, in any case.
Images blur, voices distort, and memories fade over time. But when I smell the fragrance, I can remember the days/evenings/hours we spent together as if it were yesterday. It's fascinating how scents manifest in our brains. That's why I have a small bottle of L'Eau d'Issey at home, which is only opened during certain hours and otherwise serves as a small monument to what has passed.

Island Fantasy
I love the scents from Britney Spears and I can also enjoy the 135th edition of Fantasy. I got Island Fantasy relatively late, as the whole setting didn't particularly interest me, I didn't like the advertising poster, and I thought it would be an overly coconut-laden, extremely sweet Eau de Toilette.

The bottle stands out from the other Fantasy bottles in that it is transparent, which I personally quite like. The bottle is turquoise at the bottom and transitions to green at the top. I like the bottle better in real life than in photos and, in my opinion, it is one of the prettiest Fantasy bottles. The box is more in shades of blue, but for the 100ml version, it is huge and therefore looks bulky.

Right after the first spray, I can clearly smell the mandarin. The mandarin is not too overpowering or intrusive, but rather pleasantly fruity. In the background, I smell other fruits that my nose cannot identify individually. After a few minutes, I feel that the mandarin pulls back a bit and makes way for the watermelon. The watermelon also doesn't smell too sweet, but like freshly cut. These are the two components I could have identified even without the fragrance notes.

The watermelon remains detectable for me almost until the end, only later do the floral notes come to the forefront, but not in an intrusive or extremely floral way. At this stage, the scent is already much weaker, yet still noticeable. Just before the scent disappears, it becomes slightly creamy and sweet, but the sweetness here is nothing compared to the other Fantasy scents.

The longevity for me is not particularly impressive at 2-3 hours, but it is an Eau de Toilette, which makes that acceptable, I think. I would rate the sillage as pleasant; about a meter in front of me, someone can still perceive the scent (when freshly applied).
The scent surprised me a lot; it is not as sweet as the other Fantasy variations and is especially incredibly pleasant to wear on warmer days. This would definitely be an EdT that I would take on a beach vacation and I enjoy wearing it very much, especially with the current temperatures.

This is my first comment here, so I would be very grateful for feedback!
