Sparkling Mandarin Soda...
...but only at the beginning and just for a short while.

As sparkling and fruity as Ahoi-Brause tastes, Musk Therapy starts on the skin like a mandarin soda. However, this fizz unfortunately disappears very quickly. The scent becomes warmer, softer, and remains minimally fruity. For me, it also becomes very close to the skin quite quickly. For my taste, too quickly, because after a maximum of 1 hour, neither I nor my surroundings can perceive the scent (4 sprays). After about 4 to 5 hours, I can only smell a very delicate veil of musk and sandalwood, and then it’s almost gone.

Right after spraying, it smells the best to me, before it develops into a warm musk scent, and unfortunately, I don’t like this development very much. Something bothers me, or I feel slightly uneasy. Could it possibly be the sandalwood?! I have another candidate here that also doesn’t agree with me somehow. But that’s a different topic :)

Definitely a scent that can be worn year-round. However, for the warm summer days, it might be a bit too much for me. To my nose, it’s absolutely unisex, 50:50.

As beautiful as the notes sound, overall, the scent did not convince me.

Cream Jar on Wooden Chest of Drawers
I got to know it in 2014, when I took the collected samples with me on my vacation to Lanzarote. In the evenings, I would spray 2 or 3 spritzes on my warm skin and off I went. In September, the evenings are no longer quite so hot, and there’s usually a cooler breeze blowing.

At that time, I found it quite woody, almost masculine. Interesting, yes, but it didn’t blow me away. I used up the sample and didn’t think about it any further - out of sight, out of mind.

Well, I unfortunately don’t remember how it happened, but recently I acquired a small bottle. The dominant woodiness I remembered is no longer there. This Narciso smells so fluffy, creamy, clean, and pure upon application. Simply heavenly! For me, it’s a soft comfort scent, like a second skin. I also love to wear it while sleeping; it makes me feel somehow snuggled and secure.

Narciso is definitely wearable year-round, perhaps with the exception of midsummer, and it lasts incredibly well. For example, when I wear it to sleep, I can still smell it well the next morning.

The color of the bottle is perfectly chosen for this fragrance.
A clean scent with creamy flowers, delicate, lightly woody, and special.

Really beautiful!

What's going on or what's wrong with me?

At first, I was very taken with it. This opening, shortly after spraying, so beautifully fresh, fruity, cheerful. A good mood fragrance. Recently wore it again, the (too short) opening is still pleasant, but then.....I don't like it anymore. I find it sweet and stuffy, it makes me feel somehow strange, I can't even stand my own scent.

I sprayed it on my wrist again today as a reminder. Now while writing, when this scent cloud rises, it goes to my head, sticks in my mouth, the smell suffocates me. I feel dazed, in a negative sense. Is it perhaps due to the bombastic tuberose/jasmine mix? Hmmm...?!?

No, I'm out. Unfortunately, I will have to part ways.

Rimini in the 90s
We recently went for a walk, I was wearing a black-and-white striped oversized shirt and 3 or 4 spritzes of Terracotta. Once home, I hung the shirt back on the clothes rack.

Last night, a few days after that walk, I put the shirt back on to get cozy on the couch, and I kept getting a delicate sweet scent in my nose. What is that and where is it coming from?!?! For almost 10 minutes, I tried to figure out where this lovely smell was coming from, until I finally had the brilliant idea to sniff my shirt.

That delicate sweet scent transported me back to my Rimini vacation in the 90s. When the gentle summer breeze carried all sorts of sunscreen smells, but above all Ambre Solaire tanning oil with coconut scent. Oh my God, I loved it. Whether it still smells the same today and if I would still like it - I don't know. Terracotta doesn't just smell like coconut, but Ambre Solaire immediately came to mind, and I was lost in memories.

Now to Terracotta. At first, one might assume, quite rightly, that the scent is overwhelming and can quickly become too much in summer because it's too heavy, too cloying, too floral-heavy. But it develops so so beautifully! It becomes creamy, softly floral, delicately sweet, with a hint of fluffy coconut that you catch whiffs of every now and then, and it never becomes too much.

A beautiful scent that I will wear more often now.

Beast with Ease
If I had a signature scent, it would probably be La vie est belle. I keep repurchasing it, I just can't do without it. I even tried not to like it; I smelled it too often, too many people wore it. But I wanted to smell unique, special (good), to stand out from the crowd.

Well, I didn't succeed in that, the not liking part. But you know what? WHO CARES....

Because I just find it too beautiful! It starts fruity, fresh with a slight sweetness. The flowers come in, and the sweetness increases a bit over time. Nevertheless, I never perceive this sweetness as overwhelming or suffocating; there’s always a slight zestiness (freshness would be wrong here) that tempers the sweetness a little. And when everything calms down, a warm, velvety, slightly powdery scent veil remains on the skin.

I primarily don’t perceive it as sweet sweet sweet, but rather as floral-sweet :-) Oh, and I think it's an absolutely radiant scent, simply a ray of sunshine. The commercial conveys it perfectly. Julia Roberts outshines them all.

My husband loves this scent on me. When I wear LVEB, he ALWAYS tells me how good I smell. That rarely happens with my other fragrances, tsssss ;-D A friend says I smell delicious like cotton candy.

When I wear it, I feel comfortable, protected, somehow at home.
Sexy - no.

LVEB works for me at any time, occasion, or season. Although - well, okay, above 25 degrees I do think about it 3 times.

Two sprays are more than enough; then it’s there, oh so much!

Ah, LVEB - I love you!
