Better than expected
I have both the EdT and EdP samples from MFK. The first encounter was with EdT and I was underwhelmed; it felt simple and generic. However, after some time, I noticed that I kept smelling my wrists (where I applied the fragrance). Although it never transformed into something interesting or novel (unlike my experience with PDM fragrances), I started liking its simplicity and pleasantry.
The Extrait version is very similar but a bit stronger than EdT. It becomes clear that I don't like the opening; something off putting is very strong at the beginning. Overtime, it evolves into a pleasant smell. The evolution process takes longer than EdT, and is less radiant. Comparing the two, I like EdT more, but unfortunately the latter does not last as long as I’d wish it to.

Interesting and novel
PDM makes interesting fragrances. Just when I thought that all fragrances smell similar, Habdan comes to prove me wrong. The opening of Habdan is strong, and has a strange buzzy and woody feel. Immediately, it was followed by a grape-fruity scent. However I try to describe it with familiar notes, it feels not doing it justice. The fragrance provokes an olfactory experience that I’ve never experienced before. It’s not something that I “Hell YES”, but can see myself grow liking overtime.
However, one big problem is its Sillage. After the initial strong performance, it quickly recedes to skin scent; really not living up to its high price.

I like it
Gris Charnel opens strong. The smell of Tonka bean and Vanilla marched towards my face; it was sweet and dense. After the initial shock, a slice of wood reminds us of its presence gently; I’m here, but no need to attend to me. Then the spiciness announces its arrival; it’s lively and edgy. The inter-play of sweetness and spiciness was dynamic: it started with a fight for dominance, and gradually became an integrated whole.
The scent not only has my favorite notes Tonka Bean and Wood, but also adds a spicy character. An enjoyable experience, and can recommend.

Good opening and OK ending
A refreshing green fragrance that reminds me a lot of Green Irish Tweed (GIT). If GIT is green grass, Greenley is green apple. Its opening is fruity such that my mind senses a little sweetness even though my nose does not detect it in the note. However, the sweetness gradually fades away, and is replaced with a bittering taste. I’d like the fragrance more if it maintains its fruitiness throughout the experience.

A delightful “Hello”
The opening of Haltane is gorgeous. It’s joyful, refreshing, and lively. Different notes (powdery, woody and sweet etc.) jump in and out, and dance with each other. The scent brings many new experiences. There is a note, not sure Clary sage or Praline, that is completely new (but enjoyable) to me. I’m also surprised by its wood note. Unlike the ones that I’m familiar with (e.g. Oud), it gives an impression of thick but not heavy.
The dry down of the scent is pleasant but a little boring, and I mostly detect wood with a slight leathery sweetness.
