A fragrance for "Mrs Galadriel"....
APOM reminds me a little bit of Iperborea in its appearance......not because there are similarities in the fragrance itself....it is rather the creamy soft and gentle femininity that both fragrances radiate for me......

I smell the individual fragrances in exactly the order in which they are named......at first a lovely orange blossom dominates, which gives the fragrance a minimal fruity touch for my nose.....but without actually becoming fruity or even clearly sweet....a little later a wonderfully sensual ylang ylang note is added.......on my skin the scent then lingers for some time at this stage.....only a little later the cedar is added.....gives it a certain grounding......and completes this masterfully composed scent.....

Since my olfactory brain automatically associates perfumes with colours and music, I associate the sound of a harp.....played by an ethereal fairy-like being, which despite its outwardly delicate and almost transcendent appearance is quite strong and grounded......a little like Mrs Galadriel in "Lord of the Rings"....

The colours I perceive are warm pastel shades.....

APOM is for me a wonderful example of how femininity, eroticism and tenderness can be combined with power, self-confidence and style in a single fragrance and do not require a loud appearance...

For me APOM represents in a certain way the "eternal feminine" in all its wonderful facets.....

Airy tender vanilla......
The most wonderful vanilla scent that ever came under my nose...!!

at no time during the whole fragrance development (if one can speak of one at all here) my nose is infected somewhere.......also at no time does a food association develop, as it happened to me e.g. with "Spiritueuse Double Vanille" (cinnamon bun with rum raisins)......despite vanilla and caramel as main actors it remains a "perfume" and does not become a "baking aroma"......it is definitely a "light" vanilla........there is nothing dark, heavy, animal, oriental.......it's rather the flapping of a vanilla butterfly's wings (there's no such thing).......or the delicate vanilla fairy who conjures up fragrant little vanilla clouds with a wave of her magic wand (there's no such thing either).......

Exactly as I love perfume......soft, warm, gentle, flowing and delicately enveloping.....

Love me. ...or leave me
"gesture" is basically exactly the scent I was looking for.......subtle, noble, distinguished and with this certain sovereign serenity, which can only be achieved after a certain amount of life experience.....the freshness, which one first perceives in the top note, is deceptive......spontaneous purchases can go badly into the eye here.....after the first minutes gesture makes a 180 degree turn on the day, which has washed itself.....the scent becomes more resinous and clearly drier....you have to like that....in the further scent process violets and amber remain the dominating notes for me.....a beautiful and discreet musk makes sure that the scent remains radiant even in the drydown and does not drift into the mat.....

He will probably never find a large following....he is too complicated for that.....also I experience moments in which I would like to wash him off best.....and then...all of a sudden.....there is this twist again....and I just find it wonderful.....

Gestures don't play... Gestures are serious... Love me or leave me....
