Mediterranean Summer
I couldn't have chosen a better time to try this fragrance.
It arrived yesterday and today, on this summer Sunday, I am testing it. Currently, we have 27 degrees here. The remaining evening sun kisses my face. I enjoy every warm breeze and every single ray of sunshine on the balcony with a glass of wine.
My skin was already warmed by the evening sun. I take out the fragrance and spray it on my wrist. I listen to the wind and imagine the sound of the sea. In the midst of the pandemic, I am somewhere on a coast of the Cinque Terre in Italy. Brown long hair, tousled by the slightly warm summer breeze. A long white dress caresses my body and dances gently with the wind. The evening sun paints everything golden-orange, my skin sparkles. With the light wind, my perfume dances too. Dune by Dior. The citrusy opening, released by the mandarin, nudges my nose; I believe the bergamot is mimicking the mandarin. They tease me, flee away, and want to play tag with me. The lightness is repeatedly dampened by the patchouli and sandalwood. The earthy and dry note reflects my surroundings and gives the fragrance stability. How can a scent smell so juicy and fresh yet simultaneously so dry? I dance along with the wind and my fragrance. Arriving at the little restaurant in the small alley, I sit down on the wiry and ornate chairs. My skin radiates so much warmth that by the end of the evening, the vanilla with the benzoin plays lightly and passionately with the front strands of hair that have fallen into my face. As if the fragrance notes were fingers wrapping my hair around them, gently loosening it, caressing my face. I enjoy the warmth that the fragrance gives me.
I open my eyes ... smell the fragrance again and thank it for this journey.
I have many winter fragrances and maybe a few spring fragrances. I was missing just such a summer fragrance for the really hot days.
(Ps: This is exactly what I expected from the Terracotta fragrance)

From Scratch Card to Bottle ... Final Destination
With a few online orders, I received a flyer for this perfume each time.
The first time I saw the flyer, I thought to myself: “Oh man, how stupid, silly, and flashy.”
I didn’t know/know Mr. Plein. I found the advertising so dumb and clichéd that the flyer went straight into the trash.
By the third time, I was so annoyed that I took a closer look at the flyer. Lo and behold, there was a scratch-and-sniff field.
I scratched and smelled that silly flyer.
“Oh” - “Interesting” - for such a dumb presentation.
It smelled quite cool and balanced-spicy. It had something that I found again in "Guilty Absolute pour Homme | Gucci." What it is, I can't say. Moreover, you can't really smell anything properly just based on such a silly scratch card.
Yes, the scent sparked enough interest that I had to join a sharing. Confidently, I wanted 10ml right away.
Totally impatient and full of joy, I awaited the mail. I was so looking forward to the leathery-spice that I had smelled on the flyer before.
Well, then the mail arrived. I sprayed the scent on. First on my wrist. I sniffed ... and sniffed ... and thought ... and thought ...
I thought I had ordered the wrong one. It smelled so ... fresh and totally citrusy, I thought it was the "No Limit$ Plein Super Fre$h | Philipp Plein." When I saw the scent on Parfumo, I imagined that the new scent smelled just like the one I had on my arm.
I gave the scent two chances. The disappointment is not about the scent itself, but about my expectations. Nevertheless, I can't fully understand many comments here.
Yes, the scent is somewhat characterless and yes, it doesn’t have good longevity and sillage. And yes to the silly presentation.
But apart from that, it’s not a bad scent. It smells fresh, citrusy with a balanced spice. In the dry-down, the base is clearly recognizable. A slight leathery sweetness. Nothing special, but also nothing you can go wrong with, especially at this price.
I see the scent for feeling fresh, quickly going out to the bakery or a snack run at the supermarket.

Jungle for Home.
Well, as many say. Either you love it or you hate it.
I'm still not sure if I love it or hate it.
We don't need to talk about the bottle. It's pretty! As green as it sparkles, the scent itself does not smell BUT it smells green.
I remember when my mother brought the scent home. I smelled it, I wasn't enchanted, but it smelled interesting, not a crowd-pleaser. But there’s something musty in the scent, and I advised her against the purchase.
The next day, I was sipping my coffee in the living room. A delicate, delicious scent wafted into my nose. I asked my mother several times what smelled so good here.
- “Mom, what smells so good, did you just put on perfume?”
- “No”
- “Something is wafting into my nose, it smells really good. Did you wash the cushions with fabric softener?”
- “No way!”
- “But you must have sprayed something”
- “No, but maybe it’s the scent strip from yesterday”
Hmm, I smelled the scent strip again. It was about 1.5 meters away from me. It wasn’t what had come into my nose; I immediately smelled the mustiness again. I placed the strip next to me, and again a delicate cloud of fragrance. It smelled green and clean, a bit sweet.
Indeed, that is Aura.
In a fit of enthusiasm, my mother did get the scent after all. I diligently tried out the fragrance. There’s something musty and stale about the scent. Light like a stagnant puddle. But somehow it also smells good, like a jungle. Musty, fresh jungle. But I like it. There’s something about it I like, but also something I don’t. Every time I find it interesting anew.
My surroundings don’t like the scent. For me, it’s not a scent for every day, nor an office scent.
I only wear this scent, really ONLY, when it’s humid and warm outside. Preferably after a summer rain. Together with the tropical warm air, this scent merges. That’s when it stands out best and highlights the scent of the plants.
That’s when I have my jungle for home.

Metallic Library
I received the fragrance without looking for it. It was "recommended" to me.
The first sniff was: "Oh, ... oh ... this is ... Mh .... strange ... mh ... but ... also kind of cool."
For an untrained nose, I couldn't describe the fragrance other than smoke. I definitely picked up on the smoke.
I wanted to categorize what I was smelling, I wanted to give the fragrance an image.
I searched for the fragrance on Parfumo .... similar .... what does Two-House Kermesberry, Ambermax, Silvanone, Boisiris, or Rosyrane smell like.
As confused as I was after the first sniff, I was still just as confused by the notes. And that's exactly how the fragrance smells to me.
A day later, I tested the fragrance again. The strange and confusing feeling is slowly fading. The fragrance starts to smell "normal" or "familiar."
I find the concept of the fragrance really exciting and somehow cool. After reading that, I also think I can smell the metallic note. Slowly, I can form an image of the fragrance.
In my nose, I feel that the fragrance lives through its concept.
In the drydown, the fragrance begins to smell sweet, the smoke is gone, but the metallic note remains.
If I try to forget the concept, the fragrance reminds me of our city library, where I spent time as a child.
The fragrance is interesting, it doesn't smell bad ... but that's about it for me. I see the fragrance more on a man. The fragrance is worth experiencing, but that's all.
UPDATE:
My God, the promotional video is awesome. ? Exactly my taste. It influenced me more than I thought. Definitely increased in sympathy points. And yes, for the fragrance itself.

For the Introverted.
I first smelled the fragrance at my mother's place. She had a sample of it.
My mother and I are not women who wear high heels and the little black dress. We don't have the magical elegance that this bottle radiates.
Especially me, I'm more the type who wears sneakers with a hoodie. Of course, I also wear blouses and nice trousers. Chic, sporty ... just reserved.
I was put off by the fragrance, but only because of the bottle. I want to fight against this image of a woman that is created here. On the other hand, I find the bottle super creative and beautiful from an artistic-designer perspective. Still, I didn't want to like the fragrance.
I sniffed it more often, tried it more often. But yes, the fragrance has something. It’s not a sensation. No big character traits, but classic. When I smell the fragrance, it fits well for people who have a lot of customer contact. The fragrance is serious and reserved.
I like to wear it when I'm in the office, on days when I'm feeling introverted but still want to make my presence felt without talking much.
When I wear the fragrance, I feel sexy and serious, as if I’m slipping into an authentic role.
Bergamot and lemon in the top note give the fragrance a fresh touch. The heart note brings the fragrance, with its base, into a nice balance. However, this also brings boredom to the fragrance, no edges and corners. No addictive potential.
The fragrance doesn't scream loudly, just right for introverted moments.
