Blast of milk, cherry and almond
Wow, this fragrance hits you straight in the face with this milky cherry almond accord. For whatever reason, it also gives a a hint of rose which is not listed on the notes. To me it's like a drunken cherries dipped in sugary cream and rolled onto almond flakes. Very gourmand, smooth and well blended.

Not what I was expecting
This is a much milder scent that I was expecting. The coffee doesn't kick in until around 30 mins later and it's not a strong coffee scent either. Somehow this reminds of Maison Margiela's coffee break. This shares the soapy sort of scent with not a lot of coffee. Silage and longevity was not the best on me. There is some sweetness in here but it's very easy to carry so if you're afraid of sweet fragrances, you may still like it. For me it is a bit underwhelming and is quite a average scent.

Sophisticated sweet herbal fragrance
Clara opens with a blast of sweetness from the vanilla mixed with a slip of rum. I can almost detect a citrusy note to it at the beginning. The sweetness is balanced with the pachouli which gives it a herbal/bitter undertone. The rum disappears quite quickly and it's not a overly boozy fragrance. The opoponax note gives the fragrance some weight and a darker texture to it. The cinnamon is well blended in so it does not particularly stand out but provides a warm feeling to this fragrance. It feels like walking into a ancient herbal shop with a cup of sweet cinnamon tea in your hands.

As someone who doesn't like pachouli fragrances, this is very well blended and the sweetness in it makes it much more wearable for me. As always, it is very well blended, sophisticated and not over powering, like many others from this house. I am pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying this.

Tabacco + Jam
The name perfectly describes this fragrance. It opens with sweet raspberry which is perfectly balanced by the hay and tobacco undertone. It feels jammy and thick but not cloyingly sweet. A very well balanced and well crafted fragrance. The sweetness in the opening settles in the dry down and the hay and tobacco becomes more prominent. Interestingly the hay note does not really radiate off my skin but the jammy sweetness does. So the hay note does not become too dominant even after a few hours unless I smell it incredibly close to my skin.

This is my favourite from the house and their best seller. Longevity is great with moderate sillage. A unisex fragrance that I love to wear during fall/winter

Very Potent Rose oud
I initially purchased this because I am collecting Penhaligon's portraits and I heard this is being discontinued. I have not owned any oud fragrances prior to this and boy this is STRONG. I don't know how this compares to other fragrances with similar profile but this is one where people will definitely notice if you are wearing this.

I got this when it started to turn cold here and it grew on me. Still not wearing this to work but I enjoying wearing this at home in cooler weather. The dry down on this is quite pleasant, with the woody base and faint rose scent.

It is one of the better ones in terms of longevity in the Portrait collection. And what's not to love about the majestic eagle bottle. You can probably get a better value rose oud fragrance from other houses but I do enjoy having this in my collection
