Dangerous legend.
It's a legendary perfume. My parents went to a New Year's Eve party just after it went on sale in the 1980s.
One of the ladies there had clearly received it as a Christmas present and was wearing it that night.
"It was like she'd had a bath in it. She reeked of it." My mother's nose took a while to recover.
I've tried it in Boots once or twice. Sadly there's something in it that gives me a headache so I have to wash it off.
I'm sure it's lovely for some people but my nose says, "No!".

Drifting away with Dune.
I kept testing Dune at my local Boots' perfume department. I was swept
off my feet by this beautiful perfume. I was so glad when I finally had my own bottle. For me, it conjures up fantasies of Saharan desert dunes with Bedouin people sitting around campfires. Middle eastern spice markets, beautiful belly dancers, Sir Richard Burton's Arabian Nights. In my mind it smells too exotic and ethereally spicy to suggest seaside beach dunes.
It's a perfect scent for winter, as it takes me away from the cold, short days and lifts my spirits. Thank you Dior.
