I’m really not sure it gets classier than this if we are talking Rose-Oud DNA. Minimal ingredients done right. Everything in this is rich and of high quality.

The Cambodian oud makes an appearance right away as there is a very very slight funk in the beginning. But this quickly fades and this fleshy beautiful rose dominates. It’s not feminine though. Just a very pleasant rose with heavy petals. The musk seems to play a bit of a bystander and I think that was the right choice. This is blended beautifully. It dries down to just this warm woody resinous vibe still with a bit of this heavy rose lingering.

Masculine, sophisticated and regal, great for almost any occasion or season.

Putrid and Stinging Floral
For me, it opens very fecal and pungent. Stings my nostrils in an unpleasant way. The fecal scent goes away after about 45 mins and then florals rush in—almost in an attempt to cover the civet. The entire fragrance is very chemical-like (think citrusy cleaning products) and vintage to me. I don’t get much Oudh at all. In the dry down, I just get rose tainted with civet. I strongly dislike this combination of scents. Maybe it’s the orange blossom that ruins it for me?

I love ouds and some animalics but this is legitimately putrid on my skin. I do believe it is unisex though; maybe leaning only slightly masculine.
