I just can't figure you out - there is no more before Christ and after Christ in my time calculation but only a before BA and after BA ... somehow Gaultierie has managed to develop longings that I could not have remotely dreamed of ... that were never there before ... BUT... as different as you are, that's exactly what repels me right away ... you smell so mystical, dark, animalistic and very deep ... only to smell in the next moment like a sweaty armpit of a planned fourteen-year-old stoner ... and that in alternating seconds ! Fact is, everyone who will smell fragrance, will never(!) forget it again, for better or for worse ..

Yellowed dusty totally neglected basement ... somewhere years ago here expired bourbon vanilla ice cream dumped which still spreads ... in the middle of the room, a violated, decrepit doll... one arm ripped out, smeared with obscene slogans... one eye is missing, the other lifeless with a sad stare at a fixed point ... you slowly approach the doll... until the door abruptly closes and the eye begins to stare at you ...

I love this scent, there is no other way to describe it than "simply pleasant". I associate it with warmth, exclusivity and also just a certain "smartness" and my first thought after the first few sprays was that this will be my signature scent. However, as became clear after only a few minutes, that was not to prove to be the case. Unfortunately, especially when I compare it to other fragrances, Ganymede is the epitome of a "skinscent". The sillage and longevity are just bad. Really bad. On my skin, it almost completely disappeared after half an hour and on clothes (cotton) it truly doesn't last much longer. Youtuber like Sebastian of smelling great fragrance reviews has tried to paraphrase it euphemistically with "Ganymede isn't verly loud ..."( to German:Ganymede is not very loud) but unfortunately this is a strong understatement.
