Elegant, Sensual, Decadente

As the name implies, the nr. 5 by Rosendo Mateu is a floral fragrance with the sweetness of the amber and an alluring musk.
From the beginning, we felt an addictive rubber aroma that protrudes from our skin. The smell is comforting but very light and sensual. Carnation and lily of the valley softens the scent and makes it slightly feminine. However, it is a perfectly unisex perfume that I love to use. The projection is very good and it is a delight to feel the breath of that aroma in the nostrils. Performance is also very good.
One of the best perfumes I've ever wear.

Ce parfum mérite son succès, il est entré directement dans mon top 5. Un jus délicat d épices musquées ,légèrement ambre.les notes florales sont très discrètes ce qui m arrangé car je n' aime pas les fleuris .
sensuel et élégant
Il me vaut énormément de compliments quand je le porte.
Je pense que c est le seul 100ml que je terminerais et rachèterais sans aucune hésitation.
Ce parfum est unique

Not an Easy Reach BUT… Masterpiece!

I like this a lot, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the rubbery latex smell in the opening. It is so obvious so I can see how others can find this challenging. That said, this perfume is a true display of Mr. Mateu's mastery of perfumery. He managed to make the fragrance impactful, but ethereal at the same time. All the notes work together in perfect harmony to produce a highly elevated sexy perfume. I agree with the reviewer who said this fragrance is suited to elegant events where they serve champagne because it's exactly where I'd wear No5! The scent never gets too much or overwhelming, it maintains this airy quality while still making an impact. Think BR540. Performance is amazing, but it is also easy to overdo it so take caution when spraying! The price-point is appropriate for the quality but I know some people might have a differing opinion. Masterpiece!

Rare discovery

I have a decant of this , when I smelled this opening of burnt robber or plastic I thought that was the person who did the decant that did something wrong but strangly I was intrigued and it kinda attract me.
The opening is really unique it cools down on your skin after 15-20 minutes and you still gets a spicy fragrance but perceive a little more of the florals and amber that was beautifully in the background.
I didn’t use it that much and wait for prettier days and occasions to wear it but I don’t think I will buy a full bottle of this but I’m happy I smell this because it’s really characteristic and not ordinary and you don’t smell that type of fragrance everyday I will explore it further that is for sure and maybe I will adore it who knows ?

Indescribable beauty (but I'll try!)

Such a beautiful caleidoscope of thousand layers of notes. The prosaic name "Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk" is quite fitting, but not enough to describe this.

It's warm, creamy, fluffy, but also spicy, sharp and even smokey. I definitely smell a pretty pink carnation, but luckily not so much of the lily of the valley. There is a lovely floral sweetness to this that doesn't feel sugary and is blended perfectly into the soft white musk and vanilla. Saffron is the most noticeable spice note. It adds a little sharpness and edge to the composition, but it's very warm and not medicinal like it can be in other fragrances. I think this is what some reviewers find leathery here, saffron can be like that and you have to enjoy it to like this fragrance. And I certainly do. It's like the dreamy musky vanilla fluff needs some grounding saffron to really shine. The rest of the spices remains a mystery - maybe a hint of pepper, a trace of cinnamon or allspice, I'm really not sure.
There is even something woody and roasted in this, all without ever becoming harsh. This perfume masters the art of being spicy without feeling foody, manly, dated, dry or rough. The amber anchors the scent all the way through the final drydown and never turns stale. What's left the next morning is less spicy, more vanillic and powdery, but still magical.

I can't say that this scent reminds me of anything or conjures any pictures in my mind, it's standing on its own feet and my impressions of it change as I smell it. I mean nowadays I have smelled several similar fragrances that came after it, but when I first tried it, it was something completely new. And so far I haven't found a better version of the concept than the original.

Anyways, the whole is more than the sum of its parts and the overall vibe the scent gives me is just warm, feminine elegance. It's very versatile, I would wear it day and night in mild to cold weather. Maybe even on warm nights.
