I'll be honest, the house of MFK was unfortunately sidelined for months after Baccarat Rouge. I know I'm not going to make any friends with my (very strong) dislike of Baccarat Rouge, but this fragrance was - and still is - pure torture for me.
After taking the greatest possible distance, I gave MFK a second chance. I came to the olfactory tasting: first Amyris (great but not exceptional). Then 724, also fantastic, but nothing new.
Then Rose: also not a new idea, a rose fragrance, the classic among perfumes.
But after spraying it on, I felt the lovely scent of fresh roses in my nose. A rose fragrance that I have never smelled with such clarity.
The perfect rose.
MFK, you've convinced me after all!

The first spritz fills you with bergamot paired with a fresh sea breeze on a 32°C day. In addition, you have the feeling that the sunscreen you are wearing on your skin is giving wings to this wonderful summer day. A little powdery but still fresh enough.

Unfortunately, this wonderful summer day ends quickly. Not only does the fragrance evaporate very quickly, what remains of it unfortunately smells like cheap sun cream.

Too bad, I really like the scent itself, especially since I also love classic sunscreen scents. But it's not easy on the wallet. If you're really looking for the ultimate sun, summer, beach fragrance that also smells like sun cream, you can go for the Nivea SUN fragrance. It also smells synthetic, but only costs 20€ ;).

Oh, a new fragrance is trending, I have to smell it! No sooner said than done, off to the perfumery. The test bottle is even secured. A friendly gentleman brings me the bottle and sprays it on. A cloud of cotton candy paired with vanilla meets me. "Really, everyone likes it?" comes out of my mouth.
He laughs and says: "Well, the scent isn't for everyone." Well, where he's right, he's right.
A little disappointed, I make my way home.
I gradually notice the scent on the street. Sometimes in the supermarket in front of me, sometimes on the streetcar and sometimes with friends.
Yes, it really is the trend.
But it's getting worse and worse, not a day goes by when I don't smell it, this fairground candy floss smell with vanilla crescents everywhere, but so penetrating.
I'm starting to get the feeling that the whole world smells of it.
A few days ago, my brother finally asked me: "What's that smell here, I've been smelling that perfume everywhere for weeks?"
My eyes roll to the side. My answer: "Baccarat Rouge" with a grin "it's just not for everyone!"

Lake Constance 2021: I was out with friends. We enter a bar and a woman runs towards me. Wow! She smells so feminine and at the same time so incredibly sexy, but not too sexy. I have to know what perfume it is! Her answer: "It's a sample, I've got it with me, you can have it, it's a gift from me!" Beaming with joy, I thank her and put it in my jacket pocket, lost in thought.
Already forgotten in that second.
I didn't wear this jacket for a whole 2 years after that. (Leather jacket, it needs the perfect temperature, of course).

2 years later: I'm in a hurry. I discover a perfume sample in my jacket pocket, quickly spray it on and off I go, I'm invited.
On the way in the car, I realize: this fragrance is so incredibly feminine and sexy, I can't get enough. I look at the fragrance sample: Lancôme Idôle.
