Scent
Intensely Smoky & Dark - I love it!
This is so good! Smoky birch tar, dark incense, and motor oil, with more burnt woods around the edges, and some spice. Like if Comme des Garcons Black EDT had a baby with a piece of rubber. I really like it! Very intense though and likely very challenging and unappealing to the average person around you or even most fragheads' taste, unless you like really intensely smoky dark scents - which I do, so this is a big hit for me! Leans masculine to my nose.

Stunning violet
Violet, violet, and more violet, but done with so much nuance! Absolutely beautiful and stunning take on violet. I don't even like violet usually (unless it's paired with leather), but this is really captivating. Somehow it smells like candied violet and also leathery violet at the same time. So bright and uplifting yet with a melancholy to it as well. Very nicely done.

Interesting change of pace for a vintage Guerlain
Smells a lot less old school than many vintage scents of this era. That's not an insult to the ones that do smell more explicitly "old school" - many of those are beautiful and undeniably classic. But it's interesting to smell one that has a bit of a different scent profile than the typical vintage Guerlain. Despite being almost 100 years old, I actually don't think this smells dated today!

This is fresh and sweet, and much less powdery than most from this time period. Smells very well-blended and cohesive even as it shape shifts from the opening through the mid and drydown. The lilac really shines here, but without it being a scent like Lilac No. 4 by Universal Flowering that smells overtly intense. There's a creamy sweetness as well, but not cloying at all. It gets more rubbery slightly animalic as it dries down, in a way that I also like.

I love trying vintage scents for the historical interesting aspects, but this is one I also genuinely really like the smell of - and again not just in a "nice vintage" way, but in general, period!

Classic
Really nice classic vintage scent - and not just because of the year it was released; but the scent profile itself smells like something that's immediately recognized as classic vintage that seems like it would stand out in quality even at that time. Not that I think the average person who would smell this today would think it smells good or that it doesn't smell dated. But if you're interested in vintage scents and you're able to get your hands on a sample, worth smelling! It's rubbery, floral, leather, woodsy, slightly musky, and somehow delicate and robust at the same time.
