Beautiful, classic fragrance
I was fortunate to attend the launch of this perfume house in Wellington a few years ago, where I received a sample which I'm wearing again now on a summer's day, lying under the trees as a cool breeze blows.

This is a beautiful, classic scent with a rich oakmoss drydown that reminds me almost of the structure and scent of Revlon's Charlie Blue, but without the soapy aldehydes.

Smoky woods for a rainy day
I'm a woman and I love this on me... and it's one of the few scents I've gotten a compliment from my best friend on! We both wear a huge range of scents so this is unusual. I think you need to be a complex and more mature person to pull it off though. This is not for a person in their 20s or younger. This is for the people with life experience and maybe a tattoo or several.

About to put it on for a cold, rainy day. It's strong and long-lasting so only 1-2 sprays are needed. Smoky, sexy leather and woods and a slight hint of sweetness.

Out for a walk in Kythera
My family is from Kythera and many still live there, so I'm a bit biased. That said, this reminds me exactly of walking round the island and also of sitting with my aunty, eating pistachios as a child.

It's a light, clean summer perfume with the slightly sour taste of the wild mountain herbs, and a bowl of olives on the table, underneath the pistachio. Personally I'd rather not have that last note as it doesn't feel "accurate". But I've bought minis of this perfume as presents for all my siblings this year so they can experience it for themselves (some have never left our country).

I'll be wearing this all summer.

Eating figs off the tree in Italy in summer
What it says in the headline. This is a heady, photorealistic fig scent. It reminds me of summer in Italy - the heat, ripe figs, the leaves of the tree, a slight breeze coming off the sea, a lemon tree next door. Someone is calling out to a friend in the street below. I wear it when I want to go back to Italy.
