Mysterious and hard to pin down
I blind bought this because I could not find a sample of it anywhere, and the notes/description were calling to me.
It's an interesting one, and hard to describe. Some reviews describe it as similar to Chergui, and I guess I agree a little, but not wholeheartedly. To me Chergui is in your face, strong, unabashed, whereas Fourreau Noir is enigmatic, dark, mysterious, evasive, and, as a previous reviewer, noted, murky. I would describe it as dusty in the opening and mildly sweet in the drydown.
It opens with a quite aromatic and astringent herbal lavender, gradually the almond becomes prominent and the lavender softens and sweetens, then it dries down to a really lovely mildly sweet almond heavy tonka. The dry down is my favorite part. I only detect a *little* smokiness, mostly in the dry down, but everyone else seems to, so I'm probably wrong.
The sillage of this is more pleasant than sniffing your skin up close; I kept forgetting I was wearing it, then I would get a little waft and remember. Seeking the scent I'd try to sniff my wrists, but wouldn't get the same experience as the sillage.

Elegant green vanilla
This is only superficially similar to Angelique Noire; past the highly green opening they have less in common. This is both less floral and less vanilla. Very green in the opening and settles into a really fantastic subtly sweet drydown. I only notice the fig in the drydown, which is maybe not as intended, but this scent impressed me more the longer I stuck with it.
Salty, creamy, beachy
I blind bought this and I'm really happy with it! It has some really prominent salty notes with a nice creamy coconut -- although I am a coconut lover in general. I don't really get "sunscreen" from this fragrance, as that's usually a turnoff for me, and Phlur's sandalwood never bothers my nose the way some others can. I really enjoy this one! Excellent performance for a body spray, too.
This is cinnamon.
This has an extremely strong cinnamon note, particularly at the beginning. And it is STRONG. It immediately filled the room where I sprayed it one time to the point that my husband commented on it. I agree with the comparisons to Tobacco Honey, but I like this better, it feel less syrupy and dense. Very spicy and sweet. Feels very Guerlain, and is quite nice. Too strong for me, though, even though it fades fairly quickly.
Hard to describe
I'm kind of taken aback by this. It's really interesting and hard for me to describe. It reminds me a bit of Moroccanoil products. Maybe it's the argan. Very warm, creamy, soft, slightly nutty. Sweet, but subtly so. Smells to me like a really nice luxurious hair conditioner, in a good way. The best of the three Vacation scents released so far. Love the bottle.
