My perfect business fragrance
Yesterday I had a customer appointment and once again applied vanilla insensée. This is simply the perfect business fragrance for me. It always fits, no matter what the weather and no matter what an appointment is about. Vanilla Insensée suits me because it combines smoky, spicy and vanilla notes that I prefer. Vanilla Insensée manages to do this without getting loud and arousing. I want to be myself at the business meeting. Therefore I feel comfortable with a fragrance that suits me and corresponds to my personal preferences. In the same way I don't want to annoy my customers (and I am so sure that some of my fragrances can annoy them :))

Here I have found just the right scent for these occasions. He has nothing strange, nothing creaky, he is just special and beautiful. The not too violent Sillage is exactly right for the visit with the customer. After all, I don't want him to find me a nuisance by smell. He's still got enough pep to be noticed. If Pollita is there, it should finally smell like Pollita.

In the finish, Vanille Insensée brings an ingenious tart note that is remotely reminiscent of Burberry Classic or Il Tuo Tulipano by Hilde Soliani. The combination with vanilla makes it special and unmistakable for me. In my commión to Eau Duelle I already wrote that you need both, even if they are similar. Eau Duelle has the delicate incense, Vanille Insensée on the other hand scores with this bitter-sweet note, which I find so delicious. I'm gonna go for the vetiver. But if you already have Eau Duelle and you like it, you should also hang your nose here - guaranteed a hit!

In spite of all the business waffle - Vanille Insensée of course also works privately, no matter what the occasion. I almost always have it with me, whether it's a business trip or a vacation. But this is also because the 30ml bottle is so small and practical :)

A fine touch of familiarity
Very short, sweet-citric start, after 5 minutes the pulp of the vanilla pod, unsweet, natural and very distinctive fragrant, after 15 minutes the spicy coriander seed comes, after a total of 30 minutes vetiver joins in - now it becomes quiet and gaanz slightly smoky, rather dry powdery and restrained.

All in all vanilla all the time, spicy, powdery, dry without freshness and very quiet, yes quiet, a hint...
A hint of gourmand, discreet, intimate and close perceptible, careful, restrained, quietly whispering, a little more than a hunch and yet persistent, constant, reliable and tender, for hours.

Lime and lemon lemon are evaporated so quickly in the first few minutes.
The spicy, powdery vanilla always perceptible.
I would have guessed here however also on Iris.

For me the fragrance is the Light- Version or the L'Eau of the familiar Cuir Beluga of Guerlain.

A cologne for real powder puffs!
Augustas nose is scented with a sweet vanilla, so I think, no - please not vanilla croissants. But what did I actually expect...?!
Then citrus and coriander set in, it becomes tenderly fresh and tangy green, and that immediately loosens the carefully formed vanilla dough again before he can even think about baking, and it disappears again. Even a resin smell is blowing by now, maybe something like pine, then the vanilla melts with soft mist and becomes - powdery! Very very powdery!

I have to think briefly of such wonderfully full-bodied vanilla powder bombs as Boudoir. But the boudoir door opens only a very small crack and closes again immediately. We'll stay out tonight, on the clean side. Powdery, powdery. Did I already say that the fragrance already has an incredibly powdery effect after a quarter of an hour? And not too cute at the same time. A hint of vanilla in the baby powder, a hint of cosmetics, makeup, with a too thick powder layer, so that you can smell it yourself after applying. Powder puff full. But balanced in such a way that despite the excess powder there is nothing to cough up. On the contrary, when you inhale the fragrance you feel a light coolness that counteracts the warmth of vanilla in a pleasant way.
A light silver sheen is created. Oak moss adds cool elegance. Vetiver is also listed. A soft, clear green shines through when the powder cloud settles somewhat. That is the special feature of this fragrance.

And now, unfortunately, I have to sneeze. So take for a moment someone this constantly too dusting powder box aside!

The base gets warmer in the end, a little spicier and smells really very good on warmed skin. Not much, but good. All in all, it remains within the framework of the AC style that I appreciate, somehow airy and carefree. And totally powdery. Powder cologne. What the...? At least one for real powder puffs!
I liked to try it. Hatschi.

Challenge in Advent: On the way to "my" vanilla scent - 23 December 2019
I'll make it short: I don't like vanilla insensée. I put it on after 12 last night and this morning I still don't like it, but it smells at least a bit like a perfume; I can understand why so many people like it here when I sniff it now. But last night I was completely shocked: All I noticed for over an hour was a smell that was very familiar to me, but which I did not want to introduce by name. I'll get to that, it was most likely something about hot car tires and the smell of a new car being run in - not the fresh, new interior, but the engine. No, I cannot do anything with this smell, I find it absolutely unpleasant and coarse. Although I am very grateful to the dear Parfuma that they sent me the sample and I was allowed to get to know Vanille insensée, the fragrance is out of question for me. Only this morning I was able to perceive anything other than the hot gum, and perfume is generally too expensive for that - I don't want to wait eight hours until the smell is bearable. And what for? Coriander, lime, lemon - did they play hide and seek? I was not able to perceive her. Oakmoss, jasmine and vetiver are obviously out of town at the very moment I'm testing the fragrance. And Amber, Oak and Vanilla are much too shy in threes to say hello. The fragrance reminds me most of "Sonár", and I find that quite horrible as well. Here I have reached a fragrance limit: Otherwise I have to constantly strive not to find every fragrance dreamlike, but to work on the idea that one day I will own a small, fine selection and not just a whole perfumery. It's different here: I refuse to ever voluntarily smell like that. In this respect, it once again becomes clear how different tastes are and how different perceptions are.
Today I test my very last vanilla perfume: Vanilla West Indies from Ligne St. Barth.

Mad oakmoss
Wow! I did not expect this fragrance that he smells so. I have not known the notes before because I have ordered me for Christmas a sample set with 8 (2 ml) sample and I wanted to see which notes I perceive.

When I saw the name, I thought it will smell like vanilla pudding, but at the first spray I realized that is not the case.
I was very impressed, the notes I noticed are: something citrusy, oakmoss (strongest), violets (although those aren't there at all :)) ), and vanilla.

I like oakmoss a lot au ch in "Bamboo Harmony" by Kilian and in PRÊT À PORTER by Coty, but here for me it smells heavenly.
The fragrance lasts about 6-7 h on my skin and has a very subtle scent.

This fragrance is a very pleasant, calming, wonderful, surprising scent for me.

A vanilla without any sweetness. Dry and spicy, verging on weird, from the coriander. Almost Play-Doh like.

Like a pile of logs made out of vanilla, in a world where that could be a thing.

A ni vanilla scent, mild and inoffensive. Fades away quickly which is an issue with the house. Too many naturals that just don't last.

Vanilla, lime and a lot of wood. One for those who don't like excessively sweet vanilla scents. Decent performance for a "Cologne Absolue".
