Flying Ointment
Hexensalbe has an unapologetic, astringent opening that, as Egg points out, smells a lot like crushed roots and herbs. The angelica and coniferous notes develop beautifully as it dries, combining with the patchouli base to form a warm, herbaceous hiding place in a distant forest. Belladonna seems like a potential fantasy accord, and if tuberose is present here it's as the breeze. I loved wearing this. I felt like I'd contracted with a spirit for strength.
Night Sauna in the Trees
Abstract, delicate scent. The "mist note" listed reads as the scent of the residual heat of a shower rising off freshly cleaned skin. Whatever wood is being gestured at here, it makes the slightly soapy mist feel more organic and substantive while being difficult to detect on its own.
The only other skin accord perfume I've tried is Ghost in the Shell, which positions the flesh in opposition to some intense metallic notes. Here, the brushstrokes are hidden and the body fades into mist. Where Ghost feels aggressive, Post Tenebras Lux feels suggestive. Wear this to smell like you just left an onsen and somebody else washed your hair.

Really Green
Shi_so opens with a blast of verbena and shiso rounded out by a tart, fruity undertone I find difficult to parse. The dry-down is dominated by a soapy ivy that feels self-consciously vintage, like I'm assembling a trendy outfit with my grandfather's old suit pants. Longevity is impressive for how crisp and light the scent is; wear it if you want to feel together, but not too serious.
