soft teacakes with frostings of sweat and sweet talcum
Moynette Paris begins as a gracious, creamy floral that seems both vaguely tropical gardenia-ish and vaguely cottage garden lily of the valley-ish, and somehow not really enough of one or the other. Despite its timorous beginnings, I do think it's at its best in these initial stages. As it wears, while it’s still charming and pretty in a mild “oh, you’re still there?” kind of way...it becomes a little...not dirty exactly. But rumpled? Wilted? Disheveled? It recalls for me the book To Kill A Mocking Bird, wherein Scout is talking about the oppressive summer heat in the town of Maycomb, where “ladies bathed before noon, after their three o'clock naps, and by nightfall were like soft teacakes with frostings of sweat and sweet talcum.” There’s something of clammy skin musk and powderiness in Moynette that makes me also think of that dumb quote about how ladies don’t sweat, they glisten. I get a little peevish if I think about that for too long, and that’s eventually how this perfume makes me feel as well.

Juicy Couture meets Datura Noir
I smell more tuberose than gardenia in MONYETTE PARIS, but there is also a coconut aspect to this tuberose-centric perfume. I am reminded of both JUICY COUTURE and Serge Lutens DATURA NOIR. MONYETTE seems like a cross between the two...

I would describe this as a "thick" tuberose composition, meaning fairly dense and impenetrable. There are not a lot of layers or complexity here. The medium is oil, so that may be contributing to the opacity of the perfume, as I have often noticed that carrier oils tend to drag everything down into a single linear layer.

MONYETTE PARIS is worth sniffing if you like slightly tropical tuberose presentations, but it does not seem very extraordinary to me. I picked up a sample from a niche emporium on the strength of the raves I had heard, but I'm not convinced that this is better than JUICY COUTURE, although I do find it more wearable than DATURA NOIR.

Of the various sweet tuberose perfumes I've tried, GUERLAIN MAHORA is by far the best of the bunch.

Summer, Sun, Sea
Monyette Paris as EdP is relatively short and crisp to describe.
It is a warm, slightly sweet (due to the subtle vanilla) and for me a very pleasant everyday scent.
It also contains white flowers in the fragrance notes, which I personally love, especially my gardenia!

When I wear Monyette Paris and close my eyes, I see the following image before me....

"A white, endlessly long beach, a radiant blue sky, and the sun tickling my skin. From the sea comes this soothing sound, which you can often hear in a shell.
Surrounding me is a pleasant silence that gives the feeling, yes, here is my paradise."

If I were to describe the scent, I would say it’s like delicious sunscreen, the smell of clean white sand, and a fresh sea breeze...voila... that is Monyette Paris.

And as a cherry on top, I’ll add the ordered Mai Tai from Medusa...laugh...

...if only it were finally summer...nanana nana

Conclusion:
Monyette Paris is a floral, sweet scent, but by no means sticky and yes, simply very delicious!!

Honeymoon in the South Seas
At first, Monyette smells like the Rheinhessen alternative to Baileys called Rheinknie, into which a gardenia has plopped. It is initially unappetizingly sweet and artificial, to the point that it almost pulls out your dental fillings. But with a little patience, the sticky sweetness fades away. A distinct sweetness remains, but it then transitions into a fleshy sweetness of tuberose. Tuberose must be in here because I can smell it quite clearly, and it is also a well-known companion of gardenia in many women's perfumes. When you smell it close to the skin, the vanilla, fleshy sweetness predominates. However, from a bit of a distance, it is a lovely gardenia-tuberose scent, somewhat similar to Saks Fifth Avenue by Bond, just not as loud and more vanilla-like. As time goes by, a fleshy green plant stem begins to mix in, reminiscent of the sections of thick-stemmed cut flowers.
In my opinion, this is a purely leisure and vacation scent. Actually, it's quite an ideal honeymoon fragrance because it is sweet-floral-fleshy. I have no idea why, but it smells anything but energizing, concentration-enhancing, or serious. It smells like a big girl who is on a picture-perfect vacation island and doesn’t want to go back. And somehow, the scent also reminds me of girly cocktails based on cream, with plenty of frills on the glass rim and a long straw for poking and slurping. Although it doesn’t look like it from the picture above, this is not a cheap fragrance (50ml about €80), and it is also available as a perfume oil at 4ml for around €50.
Overall, this is a girlish scent that allows an adult woman to flirt with a childlike charm. It is a vacation island cocktail scent that lets you escape from everyday life. If you like Saks Fifth Avenue and are not averse to sweet fragrances, you might find pleasure in this one.
You can describe the scent as artificial, but I think it’s the combination of vanilla and the unknown green stem mentioned above in the background that allows for this association. Up close, it smells artificial and sweet and not high-quality, but from a distance, in its projection, it smells good and just as it is intended. So definitely keep this in mind while testing :-)
I wouldn’t necessarily buy it for myself now, but I would gladly accept it as a gift and use it.

A fast-paced chase of heavy, flowery notes. More "old school." The consistency is very oily, which I find unpleasant.
